    the parties actually switched colors continously until 2000. No one wanted to be communist red. The way they picked their colors was completely random. A newscast picked red for Republicans because both start with R and both parties ran with it.

    Tidbit : when walking and confronted with a person walking right towards them people cut left or right and it's not dependent on if you drive on the left side or right side its totally culturally determined

    Unfortunately the congress is still red. We're going to see a lot of tough battles over the next few years. Let's hope Obama doesn't take the softy-softy approach with them like he did before.
