     Im in a state that a Republican stronghold so my vote doesn't really matter so I voted for Gary Johnson, the Libertarian party as a protest vote. I'm disappointed by Obama but fuck the Republicans.

    The faith I have in humanity means I'm fairly confident that Romney will not win. I still feel a bit of foreboding about the civil rights that are on the line and the impact on the natural world a Romney term will have. His environmental policies can do a lot of damage in four years. And if he is true to his word, then progress on equal rights in US will be, at best, on hold for four years, and at worse, wound back a few decades. Not to mention his regressive policies on disaster relief, healthcare and social security.

     Your vote totally counts and I'm pretty sad that that kind of mentality is so pervasive in this country. I didn't bother voting for Jill Stein like I really wanted to because I know that there are way too many woefully uninformed voters that planned to vote for someone who is starkly against most of my stances on fiscal policies and social welfare, so I couldn't be bothered with being apathetic about voting for a candidate that has the best chance of defeating R-Money.

    I don't agree with the drone strikes and war crimes that the current command in chief has decided on committing or the continued active status of Guantanamo or the microscopically tiny efforts he's made to reforming education on a a large scale but I'm almost positive that my discontent with my government would be magnified if the other guy won. Still, I do say "fuck bipartisanism" just like most people who can see the fallacy within the election structure so, I did stick to Lib. And Green party candidates for ballots on the senate and local governments so hopefully within the next 4-8 years, having to decide between two pretty terrible candidates won't have to be an option for the next presidential election.

    So, what I can gather is that people who vote for Romney are people who think the US President can control the economy. I mean, apart from the obvious knuckle-dragging proto-minded partisans.

    It's worse than that as it's actually people who simultaneously believe that the president can't influence free market forces, while at the same time believing that Obama fucked up an economy that was already fucked up by Bush (but hey what could he do, market forces and all).

    My vote doesn't matter because my vote has 0% chance of changing the electoral votes for my state unlike a swing state. Me voting, on the other hand does matter does matter so the two parties recognize that not everyone agrees with them. On the whole I work within the Democratic party, but I don't vote down party lines just because. They should be held responsible. I think 3rd parties as a whole don't have much of a chance because of the way the electoral laws are.

    Moreover, they don't know (or don't care) that it is their party that also has control over what the current President can and cannot do, and their own party representatives that have blocked the current President in various economic areas.

    Yeah, pretty much my reasoning too, living in Georgia and all. Kinda funny, cuz the candidate I voted for (Jill Stein, Green) wasn't even on the ballot in this state.  Tongue
