  • Concept of Justice
     OP - May 17, 2012, 01:50 PM

I have been reading some topics on moral philosophy and came across one of the aphorism of Thrasymachus which is

    Quote
Justice represents nothing but the interest of the stronger

    .

Which i find it true to an extent, seeing how a certain groups hijacks political machinery of a government and influence the laws of a nation or state with their ideals and i have observed the increasing relativity of ethics in this world, its like every nation has its own different concept of justice though some could be similar to others.

Am i making any sense here?

Yes. Marxism applies that to the paradigm of the class system.

Interesting, i didnt think of that. In regards to Thrasymachus statement that "Concept of justice means nothing more than the obedience to the laws of society, i suppose we cant say being a law-abiding citizen is a good thing, can we?
