    This is a place for people to post chess related content, challenge other, join the tournament, etc. I don't want it to become another pointless bickering thread. Helios knows we have enough of those already.

    Hmm... if we only have 6 people it wouldn't be too hard to do a round robin format, and we can just get it underway soon.

    I built it, and it's a beast of a machine, it could crush any application or game I throw at it, but I think either something's wrong with my user account or with my java. I'm too lazy to update the latter.

    But anyway, regarding the 6 players now, do I just set up a sort of Inner/Outer Circle consisting of three players each and then rotate the circle? So that everybody in the Inner Circle plays everybody in the Outer Circle? :S And whoever wins the most wins overall?

    Technically the correct term IS Rook. ‘Castle’ is the thing the Rook does with the King to get him into safety. I know what you mean about Knights. I prefer Bishops myself. And, if you’re counting points, though they are roughly equal it’s overall more like 3 points for a Knight and 3½ for a Bishop.

    Haha, the Bishop is different from a Rook. What you’re doing is akin to a Muslim calling himself a Christian ‘just because’…!

    I can't guarantee the coding on the chess thing. I've never looked at it, and the bloke who coded it is long gone.

    Given that it has been installed for four years and has hardly ever been used*, attempting to chase bugs in it is definitely not a high priority for me. For the moment it's pretty much a case of what you see is what you get.

    *Incidentally, that's why I was contemplating removing it. Lack of use plus cbf'd chasing bugz.
