    I'm referring to the general attitude in men that comes as a result of adopting the notion of hijab. Here's a post I made elsewhere to tie in some personal experience to the issue:

    Yeah, reminds me of some convos I've had with friends in Pakistan. And the fact is, even though I'm not some crazy sex perv like some Muslim guys I know, I'd have to say that growing up in a heavily Islamic influenced environment has definitely had a negative impact on my ability to comfortably associate and interact with females.

    The mindset mentioned certainly is not conducive to creating healthy attitudes about gender relations.

    I have nothing against porn other than that when kids watch it, it leads to them having unrealistic expectations of themselves and others, sexually. For example a 14 year old boy watching a porn star roughly man handle a woman and force her to 'go down on him', whilst perhaps calling her derogatory names, will believe that there is nothing wrong with treating woman/girls like this. The fact that more often than not there is nothing to counteract/correct this only worsens the situation, as not all parents are willing to have the birds/bees talk and not all schools give the right sort of sex education.

    Could also lead to low self esteem in youths, because after watching some guy 'last' half an hour, it will probably make them feel really bad about their own sexual performance. Just sayin'.

    Good points, Rendezvous.  However, I think even people who agree with porn being available would say that 14 yr olds shouldn't be watching it in the first place.

    Well yeah, they certainly shouldn't but the truth is that they do. In fact some start younger.

There are a lot of things in this world that perhaps we should label "as bad for for me personally" opposed to the blanket statement of it is "bad". This of is because people have the right to make choices. If the people involved in prop are insolved by choice. So be it.

    There is nothing wrong with modesty. You said you had no idea why you thought prone was wrong However I am sure that you have been taught that sex is something that happens in private. Also perhaps the idea that nakedness is not for public display is not new to you. So you have learned a standard that  certain things are wrong. If you want to adhere to that standard as an adult is your choice. How you see others for their choice says a lot about your inner person.

    I personally have never visited a porn site and have no reason to ever do so. I am not However naive about what is out there. I was a molested child, my innocence gone at a very young age. That is saying the very least...

    There are some hard things in this world don't be in a hurry to find out about them.

    The problem with statements like "porn is bad" is that it doesn't say which porn is bad, and why, and under which circumstances. I agree that some of it doesn't make the world a better place.

    Well, I didn't actually post the pix. What happened was that several years ago, a few of us from here and a few of the crew from the now-defunct Caged Rage forum decided a bit of a picnic was in order.

    The consensus was that we should do some neo-Nazi/white power site. They deserve it. Tongue I figured we needed some good ammunition, and that black shemale doms with white boy subs would press all their buttons rather well. So, I went off looking for suitable stuff. This is not my usual preference, but it's quite amazing what is online if you look around. I still have the pix stashed in a handy folder labelled "Annoying Nazis" just in case they're ever needed again.

    We scouted around Aryan Nation since I knew they used to be prime troll fodder, but they have been hit so many times that they've gone ultra paranoid and really tightened things up, so we couldn't get much traction there. However, while scouting I did think it would be fun to play on their fantasies about Jews drinking the blood of Christian children, so I registered as Yehudi Vampire and told them I was Jewish. They weren't happy.

    Then we looked at Stormfront, but they have gone ultra tight too. After a bit more searching we found a good ol' boys WP forum that was affiliated with Stormfront but was still backwoods enough to have no idea what was about to hit them. Everyone had access to the pix, so a time was set for the attack based on when we thought the least number of staff would be around. Not hard in this case, since all the staff appeared to be in the same, or nearly the same, time zone.

    I piked out. Yeah I know. Slack, but I had other things to do and didn't wait around. Some of the others went ahead. Cheetah was one of them. Ask her about it. I only saw the aftermath, but judging by that the effect was as planned.

    That's true, bugs me how Muslims might end up viewing people as immodest (if not wearing a headscarf) or modest (if wearing a headscarf). Even though there's a spectrum of clothing choices in between, and of course behaviour to take into account.

    Yes, I meant that I did not have any basis for continuing to use that standard. But now that I think about it, why should I use any other standard?
