    Yeah. I thought new hat deserved a return to one of my favourite avs. His head is more centered under the hat. yes

    Also, there are few things dafter than a penguin decked out as Hellboy, so it kinda suits the occasion. Wink

    Came across this on facebook, it seems to be comparing Muhammad's attitude to slavery with Abraham Lincoln's. Can someone help me with the translation:



    Under Muhammad it seems to say something like "the fugitive slave who has escaped from his master, his blood, something about kafirs (كافر) and then when he dies he enters the fire.  Huh?

    then under Lincoln it says something like "if there was no slavery there would be nothing false so there is nothing false in this religion??"  Huh?

    Arabic is really tough.

    It says, "The slave that runs away from his master is a kafir and his blood is permissible (i.e. it's cool to kill him) until he returns to his master. And if he dies he will enter the fire."

    I've never heard a hadith like that though.

    Then Abraham Lincoln says"If  slavery is not an evil act, then that means that there is nothing evil in the entire world."

    Yeah, it is a sin. But to call them “kafir” is an entirely different scenario. I'll spare you all the long theological implications of calling a sinner a kafir, but I'm not sure that a hadith with this wording exists. I could be wrong.

    There is no hadith quite like that on Sunnah.com. There are hadiths there that say that if a slave flees to the "land of shirk" then it is halal to kill him.
