    Math is beautiful. The best thing about studying physics is learning to understand mindblowingly elegant equations. I wish more people took their interest in physics beyond pop-science books. The math isn't even difficult, you just have to make sure you're not trying to take too many steps at once.

    I can't I tried my best, am bad with numbers, I can't even memorize my own phone number I have dyslexia, weirdly am supposed to be good at math because I am dyslexia, but I am useless at it.

    This is what I did the other day. I went to a computer store, and bought a product for £10.99 I gave her £20, and she gave me £9.01 back, a £5 and rest in change. I like an idiot started saying: "I gave you £20" and she was looking at me, thinking wtf am I talking about, and she tells me she gave me the right change back, but I said: "No, but I gave you £20" lol after a while I realized it was my mistake, and she's given me the right change. lol

    Well recently I've been amazed by how plastic my mind is, being able to learn things I never thought I could, let alone so easily... you'd be surprised... and I think practice is enough to master anything in math... it's just learning to count in more elaborate ways...

    Also, maths is such an ugly word.

    Mathematical notation is just a form of shorthand. If you aren't scared of shorthand, there's no need to be scared of maths.

    And "maths" is the corrrect abbreviation. "Math" is teh stoopidz. The full term is "mathematics", not "mathematic". Obviously, this should be abbreviated as "maths". bunny

    I wish i was good at maths, I've had to read a few studies that use maths I hadn't even heard of to explain the results.

    i googled them all but still couldn't understand what each thing was.

    How on earth will I ever be good at research if I'm shit at the statistics afterwards.

    Like I said, don't try to take too many steps at once... get a stats textbook, if you can't learn anything from it, find a less advanced one ... and so on until you find your current level... from there on in it's a breeze.  Afro

    Also, plenty of scientists are awful at stats, as long as you can manipulate the data to fit your theory you'll be fine Tongue

    Yeah same, I'm dyslexic and I also have dyscalculia but that's self diagnosed.
