    As much as i love the england side, seeing as m from england being a realist there is no chance we will win. We might be lucky to go past the group stage. I just don't think we have a good in depth squad compared to the others. Might be new to see spain retain the title if they can.

    I suppose its the usual suspects Italy, germany, spain, portugal or even holland

    Gerrard can't play that deep role as well as Lampard can. Hodgson is trying to turn England into Champion-League-Chelsea but the Chelsea players are dropping like flies (I would punch Martens next time I see him if I was Cahill btw). I was impressed by Hazard though yesterday, even more so by Fellaini. Who knew he could play that advanced role so well. Can't see him being at Everton for much longer.

    Agreed, on individual level they are 2nd to spain on talent (spain being nr 1 of course), but as a team they seem to be missing the team chemistry.

    Apparently stewards stopped Geoff Shreeves while he was trying to invade the pitch yesterday. He wanted to let the Belgium players know that they won't be playing in the Euros...

    Speaking of Belgium, they are a proper number 9 away from being a top, top side... Lukaku might become that man if he actually gets some playing time...

    Was expecting the opening game to be dull, was good fun. Two goals, two men sent off and a missed penalty.

    Greece missed the penalty they could have won the game with that, nothing is going that poor nations way.

    Yeah he wasn't on his game. You'd expect Van Persie of all people to hammer in that clear shot on goal he got (Where he ended up kicking the air and stumbling instead). Sneijder was sublime in his passing and positioning. It's a shame the Holland defense ain't all that. Not sure if they'll make it out of group stages, though I fancy them over Portugal. Speaking of Portugal, their game was boring as hell.

    That can't be a World Cup qualifier because Brazil is not competing. They qualify automatically as hosts. Must have been a friendly game.
