  • Cars and laws
     OP - June 19, 2012, 10:04 AM

I have been driving for thirty years.  The car I have now is so superior to those available in the eighties it is ridiculous.  It will do 110mph and 50 mpg, has central door locking, electric windows...  It is nothing special.

I am working on 50mb broadband, in comparison to my original AOL dial up - my first computer had a 20mb harddrive and cost £1500!

We accept huge changes in technology without blinking.

Why then are huge chunks of the planet fixed on very old out of date laws?  Why are laws somehow exempt from improvement?
