I had never seen this before:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IObOzMAQ3hI

He seems to have a very cuddly view of religion and Islam. Apparrentely nobody told him that he is going to hell.

So Basically he is saying that he believes Muhammad received the Qur'an from god but he chose to remain a Christian.

To put it another way, Keith Moore is saying he believes that he will go to hell and that he is on the path of those who have earned the wrath of God BUT he chose to remain a Christian.

You definitely have to be a Muslim to believe in something as stupid as that!

Oh, Keith Moore.  A prostitute for Islam, along with Maurice Bucaille.  There's a fine You Tube about both those whores somewhere, I'll go find it....

Funny how Islam would stone actual prostitutes to death for immorality, yet these two male whores are lauded.

    Useful whores !

It's mystifying why his peers in the scientific community didn't dissent and debunk his nonsense. Their silence has really added fuel to the fire.

im sure everything relating to science he said was correct. It was his ridiculous interpretation of the quran; his history of science; and the translation given to him by the known liar, Al Zindani, that were all bullshit.

Other scientists cant really weigh in on interpreting the quran, or translating Arabic.

Moore states that  "The interpretation of the verses in the Qur'an referring to human development would not have been possible in the 7th century A.D., or even a hundred years ago,".
Since the best Muslms were those in the generations immediately after Muhammed, and they could not have interpreted the quran this way,  isn't this enough to prove that Moore's interpretation is wrong, even on Islamic terms?

Actually, he is actually confirming Islam, to be a Muslim you have to believe in Mohammed as a final messenger, Allah as God, and angles. So he can call himself a tree, but if he believes a above then its not beyond the imagination to say he believe in Islam. But I think his views are different now, he was just playing to the crowd then.

Actually he is not alone there. The eminent scholar of Islam, Montgomery Watt (the guy that wrote 'Muhammad at Mecca' and 'Muhammad at Medina' back in the 1950s) also believed that Muhammad was divinely inspired but also remained a Christian.
At least that is what it says on wikipedia.

But he also had this to say:

    Quote
So much must be said in fairness to Muhammad when he is measured against the Arabs of his time. Muslims, however, claim that he is a model of conduct and character for all mankind. In so doing they present him for judgment according to the standards of enlightened world opinion.

     Huh?

I guess he thought Muhammad was an "unenlightened" prophet...
