Regardless of what is and isn't true about Islam regardless if religion in general is good or bad the man in that video has problems. He would have found away to carry out his narrow self centered point of view one way or another. That he used his perception of Islam is not necessarily a reflection of anything to do with Islam as much as it shows his ability to bring out the worse in himself and seemingly anything he encounters.

I wonder if it ever entered his mind to kill himself because he was not a husband worth loving and respecting. That is kind of extreme but he seems like he tends toward the extreme. Really there are much better ways to handle problems in a marriage.

yes I agree with you Lynna, Indeed there are better ways of handling marriage problems, for that matter problems in any relationship. It is called open discussion and may be take some help with a decent Psychiatrist .. Solving such problems using silly words from alleged religious books will lead to this .

It is not good to believe in silly religious rituals Lynna, unless they are Secret Santa Gift for 3 to 8 year old kids.. beyond that age group religions/religious books are for improving language skills ..specially how to talk without thinking..
