    I am my own worst enemy and best friend, itsa bit of a squeeze in a three-quarter bed, tho. Unhinged!? If I was a dog I would be having kittens, that is unhinged. Footloose n fancy free, forced to fit, fated to fly. One or 2 words, 3 and 3/thirds, looking comely but lonely, till I made them homely.D

    He let me down. But at least he chose a religion with african roots rather than a religion that was used as justification for the slavery of his ancestors. So I won't be too harsh on him if he wants to connect to his roots.

    I can't understand the black folks who are fundamentalist christians however.

    Co-sign on that last statement. Why anyone would ever want to follow a religion that perpetuated the ownership and abuse of the people who came before them beats the hell out of me.

    Very, very debatable.

    Read Patrick Leigh Fermor's The Traveller's Tree for a fascinating account of the birth of what became known as Rastafarianism. The best thing is that when he wrote it (in the 1950s) he had no preconceptions and no notion of what was to come.

    Rastafarians are unlikely to refer to the substance as marijuana; they usually describe it as the wisdom weed or the holy herb.
