Glad they have this. It's good to start criticizing the 'stereotypes'

Yeah, it is actually. It may have been better to create a drama of british-muslim community an issues within to highlight them.

As a Bengali (which is basically a Pakistani) myself, watching most of this was like 'Meh, trying too hard.'

I don't know if it's like that for those who aren't

Yeah seemed pretty lame to me too. Rehash of stuff that's already been done.

I'd rather watch Spike Milligan's Pakistani Daleks on a loop.

What did people think of it last night? I found it funny and i can so relate to it with the humour. I think most asain families can. Bad thing is people have complained about it already.

Great to see good all nick from my family in the show

Why are people offended by this? I'm baffled.

I thought it was funny. Sure it pokes fun at stereotypes, so does most comedy and so do most sitcoms. I think people need to get off their high horse and join the human species down here in the muck where it's most fun.

I saw it on YouTube last night. Here is the full episode so other non-UK viewers can watch it:

I didn't like it, it wasn't funny at all. They're trying too hard!

Mr Khan is a better mockumentary character. Not sure that it works as a sitcom. I'll have to watch more of it before I make up my mind. Give it a chance.
