I believe that suffering is a hidden  mercy.

I think Islam helps you become psychologically ill. Did I do tawba well? Did I meet the conditions of tawba? Did I do the wudhu well? Did I say astagfirullah 33 times or 32 times? Did I say alhamdulillah?

How can suffering be a blessing?

If you can be thankful to Allah for the good things, why can't you blame him for the bad things?

My sentiments exactly Ishina. Yousra please reflect on Ishina wrote. Just step back from "belief" sir a minute and look at what you were saying and look at what Ishina is saying. Many of us said the same things as you when we were believers but I think it came from elders telling us there was some divine wisdom and us really wanting to accept this belief.

Really? Women, men and children had to suffer horrible deaths so believers would get some wisdom from it? Already know how religion tries to get around this... We are told this life is temporary and those who suffer in this life will be rewarded in the next blah blah blah.

Yeah, its a philosophy that asserts Elizabeth Fritzl should be thankful for her 24 year ordeal.

Too fucking busy, and vice versa.

    Yousra,

I know how you feel, I felt the same way about kuffar. I thought I was the only atheist muslim in the world (yeh...not smart). But there are lots of us, and we're like all other people. As long as you treat people well, you're always welcome and should ask questions Cheesy

How can you reason with someone who hasn't used reason to get there in the first place?

    -Jonathan Swift.
