    I just watched Expendables 2.

Normalize (mass)murder and mayhem - check
Normalize torture as long as it's the "good guys" -check
Glorify violence and killing - check

It's not action. It's disturbed. It's as if the Balkan wars had a love child with the Rwanda genocide and this movie's "plot" and violence is the result. It's sick. ".   Boring action aside, it was a bad movie IMO.

My mind runs, I can never catch it even if I get a head start.

I also liked world war z , avoid this movie if you dislike films with a zombie/pandemic theme.

World War Z was terrible. I've read the book, and the book is great. The book is so good, I read it in one day. And I would definitely read it again. The movie on the other hand just left you with a bad aftertaste. That's it? What a disappointment.

I've never read the book so I didn't have a reference frame. That's probably why I enjoyed the film.

A good documentary/film is "choke" which explores Rickson Gracie's vale tudo title defence. This is something which jui jitsu fans in particular should enjoy. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=BjvzJO-6ESc

I watched the movie first before reading the book. When I saw it I felt "meh, not that good". I love the zombie genre and don't expect it to be Oscar worthy in order to be entertained, but WW Z just lacked something. When I had read the book. OMG. The book was awesome, and then I was really disappointed because had they actually tried to stick a little bit more to the book and it's content, the movie would've been a trillions time more epic. Instead they were just influenced by a couple of pages in the book and labelled it "WWZ" to get more attention. It's a pity

I love the zombie and vampire genre. A film that made vamps scary again IMO was 30 days of night.

For anyone who's a fan of the revenge genre, I highly recommend "Dead Man's Shoes" what a great little known, gritty, Brit vengance flick and the soundtrack is fairly awesome too. Afro

Seen it when I was around 18, first time I became aware of how successful the art of grappling could be before that I was purely into high kickery, a crash bang wallop sort of kid. Do you Jui?

    Interstellar

Watch it on the IMAX if you can.

I liked it, its long, high concept, and very mind bending.

I watched American Hustler with Chistian Bale and it was really good. I thought it was gonna be boring or serious but ended up something completely different , my type of weirdness dance

Also watched a Swedish movie "Hallonbåtsflyktingen", and it's one of few Swedish movies that are funny. I laughed throughout the movie Smiley

After so much time I watched a bolly movie. I thought it was going to be another crappy love-story.
But it's a wonderful movie. I would highly recommend it, although there's always the bolly masala in the end.  yes

Exactly. I watched it with my cousins and they thought it was promoting the idea of one true God, when it actually wasnt.
I dont know which part of the movie they misunderstood.

Mad Max - 3D. Well worth viewing. If you're a fan of cinema you must watch it.

May well go down as one of the best action movies ever made as it is visually stunning and has a good, simple story.

I doubt it'll be a classic on account of charcter development and it's over reliance on special effects. Though I'll reserve judgement after a 2nd or 3rd viewing.
