Hamza tzortzis is trying to philosophically argue away with evolution and science.

    http://www.hamzatzortzis.com/essays-articles/philosophy-theology/has-evolution-been-misunderstood-revelation-science-and-certainty/

I haven't read most of it, but i get the gist. Get ready for the same quran miracle mantra.

I didn't bother downloading the paper, but I read the exerpt on the page, seems like he wants to philosophically disprove evolution, I don't think he realises philosophy doesn't prove or disprove anything, you prove something by reason and evidence. Also he has an obsession with scientism and outdated cliches (see what I did there Wink) about empricism which are stuck in the 1950s veiws like science and the philosophy of science doesn't move on and improve.

I'd be interested if hasn't regurgitated intelligent design arguments to the letter. Might just the article ago just for that.

Ok i just read one of his premises:

    Quote
    v.            Divine revelation is certain knowledge (this type of certain knowledge is known as al-‘ilm al-qat’i) which can be proven using deductive arguments.

Ah crap, now we're in trouble. Which certain knowledge shall i follow the bible, torah, quran or satanic bible? oh wait its only the quran, revealed to a supposedly unintelligent desert merchant.
Ok i guess facts (that don't contradict quran) are now what i shall accept as CERTAIN KNOWLEDGE!!  Cheesy

The charlatan doing what a charlatan does best.

I can't believe how pompously he can write 2000 words, trying to prove a point a truly articulate person would make in minute or so. I wish he could make clear cut points and also address the arguments from those who think that religion and science are irreconcilable. Like Sam Harris wrote:

"This is the situation: If religion is true, then the scientific  worldview would be so blinkered and susceptible to supernatural modifications as to be rendered almost completely ridiculous. If religion is false, then billions are wasting their time on baseless superstition, putting their hopes and fears in non-true beliefs, often with tragic results. Is this a dichotomy about which science can claim to be neutral?"

Believe those who are seeking the truth. Doubt those who find it.

Does he himself really believe that he has something intelligent/worthwhile to say?
Surely he must know. Surely there have been clues his whole life telling him that he is just a chump.

Science/evolutionary science cant be absolutely certain
Because the quran is an inimitable miracle, muslims are (claim to be) certain
    Thereore muslims win

Pretty predictable really. I was hoping he would answer the question "Does Hamza Tzortzis understand evolution?". He chose not to expose his ignorance on the topic. A relatively wise decision, but it won't help him.

right let's all start debunking 2 + 2 by using spelling and not maths

two plus two can't be FOUR, it's really spelt FOR, becos we can't be certain of how 4 is spelt we can't be certain 2 + 2 = 4

Yea Hamza is now on the level of Young Earth Creationists and voodoo priests who take their religion as the truth while ignoring evidence. Hamza conveniently left out the data that makes his deductive arguments valid.

So once again I'm left with the classic Irish man's dilemma, do I eat the potato or do I let it ferment so I can drink it later?

I will never forget that video where Abdul Raheem Green had the audacity to call Hamza Tzortzis "The Muslim Aristotle." Maybe he is, but for stupid people.

Tell the bird of superstitions not to speak
The string of reasons will tie its beak
Even if faith comes with water of the seven seas
It'll evaporate on the griddle of wisdom with a shriek.
