Well the initial post didn't phase me much though a little derogatory but somewhat fair to express your metaphor for committing to a woman just based on her face and not knowing what she looked like. Initially when you said inside out, I thought you meant getting to know her personality and it just come out a bit off in front of your family. But yea...no, the hole you've been digging your self since makes it quite clear your a bit of a disrespectful knob to put it politely. I thought I stumbled across ummah.com forum for a second there. One step away from comparing women to dogs and donkeys, with no value that you happen to want to fuck first before you acknowledge her as an equal human being.

Why was I a disrespectful knob? For the 50th time, I was appealing to Muslim with the analogy. In an attempt to make them realize how they objectify and disrespect women. They didn't get it, I think.

Also, what's wrong with wanting to have sex and only sex with a woman and not caring about her personality? If it is consensual and we both enjoy it there's nothing wrong. Where I come from, prostitution is part of our culture, every one uses or has used the services of a prostitute. In this case the analogy of the car purchase is adequate, and so is the Islamic marriage tradition. I hope you understand the whole thing better now.

Fair enough, you are being honest and that is how you feel, I just feel that you are pointing the finger saying that Muslims objectify women, when the context in which you yourself then talk about them is still objectifying them e.g. handkerchief reference. I value women and respect them, in general. It is just that I satisfy me desires with them, and this is above any social bond with them. I don't care about her personality if it is a one night thing. Some women I have no respect for. I've had long term relations with girls I loved and respected and all that. I just couldn't think of suitable analogy.

One question; if I make an analogy to describe a specific situation, with a specific woman, is this objectifying and demeaning her?

When did I say objectifying women was bad? It is good for me. I knkw that the majority of people are against objectifying women hence why I expressed this to them the way I did.

Women are objects to me. Sex objects and cooking/cleaning robots.

Can you guys prove, objectively, that objectifying women is wrong?

The reason why you are all confused is because in the OP, what I did was explain to my family that Muslims objectify women. It wasn't my intention to objectify this particular girl, and I didn't.

Then I admitted that I value objectifying women. Some value the opposite. Who is right and who is wrong?

All I have heard so far is personal attacks and emotional responses from people that value different things than I do. It makes you look like fundamentalists/moralists too, you know? "I do this therefore you should do it too. I don't value this therefore you shouldn't either". Nothing of substance has been presented against my stance on objectifying women.
