copy of the american f-35. fortunately the iranians are decades behind in systems. that is what is more important. dog fighting died a while ago.

Decades behind? You mean modern fighter jets don't have cassette players?

I'm finding this whole thing hilarious

I have no idea what this thread is about. Can you really rate the level of an airplane just by looking at it ? I have no idea if it's a powerful plane, and no idea either if it's a cost-efficient, durable and easy on maintenance plane (because the Kalashnikov is not really the most powerful weapon, but it's still very very popular for other reasons).

    it doesn't exist.
Iran are claiming to have developed an amazing new stealth jet fighter.  But it is a fake.
They have produced a poor plastic looking model that is intened to impress/scare us. But basically no thought went into this hoax at all.
It is a too small plastic or fibreglass model with no weapons or engine, and impossible aerodynamics. It uses components from civilian turbo prop planes, and they didn't even bother hiring a photoshop artist who had ever used photoshop before.

Most likely they are either trying to convince their own population that they aren't as useless as some may think. Alternatively it is an elaborate hoax intened to portray the Iranians as incompetent buffoons who can't even build a plane, let alone a nuke.
Given the pride that they are famed for, I'm opting for the former theory.

    LOL good find dr_sloth.

I remember having a conversation with someone about the Muslim Ummah uniting under one banner in time for the mahdi arriving Roll Eyes. I found myself wondering how on earth Muslim armies were gonna cope with advanced warfare.  Considering hadiths have the whole end times going down on horseback and swords. Full lord of the rings style. Jesus/Isa is meant to kill the anti christ with a spear, how on earth is that gonna block a guided missile.

Anyhow one of the top priorities of foreign policy should be to make sure that Iran doesn't obtain WMDs.

      - We already made that mistake with Pakistan. Now it's almost impossible to get rid of islamic terrorists if they are being housed in a country armed with nukes.

      - Disarming Iran and Pakistan should be of utmost importance to everyone in the international community. Hitchens was one of the few people who vocalized the significance of this threat.

The last thing the world needs is deluded theocrats with nukes.

These is  REAL a fighter jets. Oh btw it's automatic, no pilot.

Man thank god for the internet, 50 years ago they would have been able to pretend that this was a legit threat. Israel is probably laughing at them too. That's just embarrassing.

The power of faith, my dear ! It works ! Well, it doesn't work yet, of course, but that's just a test from Allah to see if you are really faithful Angelic.

I'm actually more frightened by Pakistan having nuke than by Iran having nukes. At least the Iranian government has full control of his territory, and if they are to be replaced by a revolution, it's going to be a less religious one, unlike Pakistan.

    ^

The hope I have for Iran is that the a huge proportion(maybe majority?) of the younger population are non religious. [1]

I'm betting that there will be a revolution to create a secular state for Iran.

As for Pakistan the vast majority of the people are extremely deluded with no respect for human rights.
