A 17 years old girl of Palestinian background was yesterday picked up by her parents in Nørrebro and on the pretext, that they had to fetch her younger brother, she was taken to her aunt´s house in Taastrup where her parents informed her uncle, that he could kill her as they didn´t want to see her anymore.

The parents left the house and according to the indictment the aunt and uncle abused her for two hours. She was stripped naked and beaten with a leather belt repeatedly all over her body. Her mother returned and cut off her very long hair. Later the leather belt was tightened around her neck so that she couldn´t breathe.

According to the prosecutor she was in mortal danger and had petechial haemorrhages in the upper part of the face and inside the throat.

At 7,15 pm she managed to escape and call the police.

What is it with people like this, I simply don´t get it, how can they do this to their own flesh and blood (well to anybody really) but especially to their own child who they have nursed and presumably loved since birth. If their bloody honour is so important to them couldn´t they just have thrown her out and denounced her and when will they learn, that that kind of behavior is completely unacceptable here.

I hope they are put away for a very long time.

So sad,

I'm glad she was able to escape, I was expecting this story to end with her in a body bag.
I wish more people would speak up against these things. What is it? Country, culture, religion, or insanity?

Sick but not suprising. I really hope the uncle and aunt would get a life sentence... But this is Denmark and it's max 16 years. I think they'll send them back to Palestine, since they don't have danish citizenship. I'm glad she's ok and could escape.
