Please explain to me, what exactly is this 'womanhood' they are glorifying. Vaginas? The pains of pregnancy and periods? Staying home, cooking dinner, cleaning and having children running around screaming in your ears while your husband is out with his bros after work? Enlighten me.
Yep. Basically. Women's ability to bear children is the ONLY valuable thing for sexist (aka patriarchal) cultures. That's because it's the 1 thing women can do that men can not physically do. Hence, motherhood and taking care of the household (i.e. working your ass off to cook, clean, raise children etc., or hiring other, poorer women to do some of that for you) is the only valuable thing women can do, according to many men AND women.
Hence, they feel that women should not worry their pretty little heads about other matters of the world. Sexist men and women believe that everything else should be left to manly men. This is the root of all patriarchal/sexist belief in many cultures that women should not be too educated, or have political or economic power, or work, or be able to choose their own spouses, or basically do much other than look pretty, clean the house, cook for everyone, and have babies when men want them to. Echoes of this exist even in our modern, secular, enlightened societies - hence rape culture, slut shaming, sexism in science, etc. etc.
The other issue is that in order to sell this shit sandwich to women, these cultures inculcate in girls the idea that they will be worshiped as queens once they are mothers. There's a common saying in South Asia and the Muslim world in general "Heaven lies at the mother's feet". This helps encourage every girl and woman to want to have kids, even if they otherwise might not want to - simply because that is the only way they can gain a level of social power.
What these idiotic women who support sexism and gender roles and segregation don't realize is that it is NOT their womanhood or they themselves who are glorified by those tactics, it is only their uterus. All other aspects of themselves, their talents, their abilities, their skills, their dreams, their goals, if they are not about having kids and keeping house, are not glorified. Women are only valuable in relation to a man (father, husband, son). They are not glorified as individuals or as human beings. Only men get that privilege in sexist/patriarchal cultures.
Back on Topic:
They changed it but they are still going to only hire a man and just say no 'sisters' applied.
That's pretty much a guarantee.
