  • Sorry...another numerical "miracle"
     OP - April 03, 2013, 02:06 PM

Just a funny story I wanted to share. One of my older friends, the only one who knows that I am ex-muslim, wanted to tell me that he found some sort of undeniable proof that Islam is true, and that it would now be clear to all "kafirs" that Islam is true.

So he smiles and tells me about how Surah baqarah has 286 verses, and in the 143rd verse, Allah uses the word "wasataa" (root is wow, seen, ta (the loop one)) which means "middle". He then tells me that it was impossible for Mohammad to know that it was in the middle because it was transmitted orally.

Then I asked him why God doesn't do this with every other instance of words with the same root (all of them refer to some sort of definition of "middle"). Ignoring the question, he just said that I am trying to run away from a clear miracle, and that it would be stupid for me to not believe.

After all this, I'm just like....... Cheesy Cheesy

I suspect that Muslims who invent those kinds of miracles have a doubt towards the all-mightiness of Allah... otherwise they wouldn't have to call this a "miracle"  wacko

If the abrahamic god judged himself according to his own moral standards, he'd go to hell.

He's jealous, full of pride, he created evil, he doesn't heal sick people while he could, he's attacking people who are weaker than him, he follows his own desires and he commits murders all the time.

    Hahaha Cheesy

You just gave me this mental image of Allah up there, rubbing his hands together as villains do, “Muhuhuwahaha, I’ll teach those humans how mighty and powerful I am! I’ll stick a word with a root that means “middle” in the middle of the longest chapter of my book! Sure it will be in a totally different context and will be just one of 13 words in that run-on sentence of a verse, and I won’t make any reference to the idea that it is anything more than a random coincidence, but it will be CLEAR PROOF of my divine awesomeness!”

I cracked up just reading that  Cheesy Cheesy

I wish He could at least put the word in the middle of the verse itself, or put all other instances of the rooted word in the middle of their chapters. But oh no, "I'm going to trick them  dance"

The only miracle is that 1.2 billion simpletons still believe that an illiterate pedophile Muhammad, who lived 1400 years ago in the sands of Arabia, is the epitome of humanity to be emulated.
