I'm sorry, but I have no idea what you said.

@HM : It's not an argument. It's an observation. Ofcourse we should respect the people who died and got injured in that incident. We should definetely pay our condolences. However, this incident is a clear indication of how our empathies are biased.

8-year-old  Martin Richard was one of the Boston bombing victim .

    Quote
The victim's father Bill Richard released a statement Tuesday afternoon thanking family, friends and strangers for their support following his son's death Monday. Richard's wife Denise and 6-year-old daughter Jane also suffered significant injuries in the blasts.

"My dear son Martin has died from injuries sustained in the attack on Boston," it said. "My wife and daughter are both recovering from serious injuries. We thank our family and friends, those we know and those we have never met, for their thoughts and prayers. I ask that you continue to pray for my family as we remember Martin." Other neighbors and friends remembered Martin as a vivacious boy who loved to run, climb, and play sports including soccer, basketball and baseball. The Richard family were watching Monday's race, and had gone to get ice cream before returning to the area near the finish line before the blasts.

    Quote
Krystle M. Campbell, 29, has been identified as the second fatal victim in Monday's bombings at the Boston Marathon. "My daughter was the most lovable girl. She helped everybody, and I'm just so shocked right now. We're just devastated," her father, William A. Campbell Jr., told Yahoo! News.

Campbell, of Medford, Mass., was at the finish line to cheer on her boyfriend, who was running the race (it is currently unclear whether he was injured).

Yup. Closing sentence is partcularly relevant:

"In sum, even if the perpetrators of Monday's attack in Boston turn out to be politically motivated and subscribers to an anti-US ideology, it will still be a very rare event, one that poses far less danger to Americans than literally countless other threats. The most important lesson of the excesses arising from the 9/11 attacks should be this one: that the dangers of overreacting and succumbing to irrational fear are far, far greater than any other dangers posed by these type of events."

You could get the same casualties from one good freeway pile-up, and nobody in America would think much of it.

    Who is talking about US?

What about the actions of Muslims in their countries? Is that US's fault? Is US droning Bangladesh that it's causing pyschos jailing bloggers for freely speaking out against Islam? Is the US droning causing Egyptian Muslims to burn and destroy cities in Coptic neighborhoods?

Why the heck are we all free Atheists in countries than our ancestral countries? Because in our ancestral countries, we'd be all killed or jailed off for being a free Atheist. When will the regular Muslims stand up and drive off the the psychos? Most are all giving lip services to the extremists.

This is not an outside problem, blaming US or West won't solve. Sure the west has many faults for unrest in the Muslim countries. But many of the problem are all internal problems because of Islam and Muslim's willingness to do something about it.

Look, I understand that if groups like the Taliban had access to the kinds of artillery that the US has, it would have destroyed people. I completely agree with you on that.

However, that still doesn't change the fact that almost no attention is paid towards innocent people who do die because of those drones. It's not just the drones though. It's also the events that are caused directly by the country's political motives. Look at how many people died in the Iraq war. Some sources claim that the figure of casualties/violent deaths surpassed the 1 million mark.   Also, one of the primary sources of anger is because of the "operations" conducted by the US . If you're a person living in the worst of conditions in Pakistan, it's easy to join forces that directly oppose a country responsible for killing so many of your loved ones.

I only took the above highlighted words of yours as they appear to be defending  the actions of angry allah loving young Muslims such as 9/11 or British London bombings or the action of this guy

Anyway let us think a bit on your other words

But Who should give the attention to those  innocent folks   that die in Afghanistan , Pakistan due to this AMRIKA war on terror and and how do we do that??

I wish you could open a thread and give details of those innocent folks who died either direct or indirect firing by American drones to pay enough attention. it is indeed an important subject.

Its a morally malignant argument because it can be turned on any group of people who can collectively be rendered as deserving of misfortune because of the actions of some adherents or members.

Well sorry to say that picture  is also from AMRIKA mole in Kabul.   So friends I   don't believe in such pictures.   Kabul is governed by American mayor Karazai  with lots American  money pouring in to that city. My hunch about it is that this is most likely the work of right wing terrorists from the U.S, since it happened on patriots day + tax day.

That being said, am I the only one who feels disgusted by all the 'please don't be a muslim' stuff coming from muslims? They show very little empathy for the victims of the attack, and their concern seems to come more from how it would affect the image of islam and if it would make their dawah harder.

Rather than saying please don't be muslim, they should've been saying, whoever did it is completely wrong whether muslim or not. Instead they seem to be trying to deflect blame.

Pressure-cooker bombs suspected in Boston blast  says news
    Quote
BOSTON (AP) — The bombs that ripped through the Boston Marathon crowd appear to have been fashioned out of ordinary kitchen pressure cookers, packed with nails and other fiendishly lethal shrapnel, and hidden in duffel bags left on the ground, investigators and others close to the case said Tuesday...............

Officials found that the bombs consisted of explosives put in common 1.6-gallon pressure cookers, one containing shards of metal and ball bearings, the other packed with nails, and both stuffed into duffel bags, said a source close to the investigation who spoke on condition of anonymity because the investigation was still going on.

Pressure-cooker explosives have been used in international terrorism, and have been recommended for lone-wolf operatives by Al-Qaida’s branch in Yemen. But information on how to make the bombs is readily found online, and U.S. officials said Americans should not rush to judgment in linking the attack to overseas terrorists.  The bombs exploded 10 or more seconds apart, tearing off victims’ limbs and spattering streets with blood, instantly turning the festive race into a hellish scene of confusion, horror and heroics.

The blasts killed 8-year-old Martin Richard of Boston, 29-year-old Krystle Campbell of Medford, Mass., and a third victim whose name has not been released.
    ............
“We’ve removed BBs and we’ve removed nails from kids. One of the sickest things for me was just to see nails sticking out of a little girl’s body,” said Dr. David Mooney, director of the trauma center at Boston Children’s Hospital. At Massachusetts General Hospital, all four amputations performed there were above the knee, with no hope of saving more of the legs, said Dr. George Velmahos, chief of trauma surgery.

“It wasn’t a hard decision to make,” he said. “We just completed the ugly job that the bomb did.”

In the wake of the attack, security was stepped up around the White House and across the country. Police massed at federal buildings and transit centers in the nation’s capital, critical response teams deployed in New York City, and security officers with bomb-sniffing dogs spread through Chicago’s Union Station...........

Pressure-cooker explosives have been used in Afghanistan, India, Nepal and Pakistan, according to a July 2010 intelligence report by the FBI and the Homeland Security Department. One of the three devices used in the May 2010 Times Square attempted bombing was a pressure cooker, the report said.  The Pakistani Taliban, which claimed responsibility for the 2010 attempt in Times Square, has denied any part in the Boston Marathon attack.

Al-Qaida’s branch in Yemen gave a detailed description of how to make a bomb using a pressure cooker in a 2010 issue of Inspire, its English-language online publication aimed at would-be terrorists acting alone. Naser Jason Abdo, a former U.S. soldier, was sentenced to life in prison last year after being convicted of planning to use a pair of bombs made from pressure cookers in an attack on a Texas restaurant frequented by soldiers from nearby Fort Hood. He was found with the Inspire article.

Obama said officials do not know who carried out the attack or why — “whether it was planned and executed by a terrorist organization, foreign or domestic, or was the act of a malevolent individual.”...

Totally agree. In fact, when my niece is old enough to walk, I'll let her know that she is expected to go to a 9/11 rally, because she was hush hush about it before she was born.

What are you suggesting then? Because it sounds like when you say Muslims deserve the backlash, that every Muslim, regardless what type of Muslim they are needs to be some kind of political activist. How many more non Muslim crimes need to happen for people like you to start saying some other group needs a backlash. What backlash btw?
Don't you realise the only reason any of us even know of Osama Bin Laden is because of 9/11? How many of us knew/cared before then?? It's literally been pinned on Muslims/ex/Shias/Ahmadis/whatever type of Muslim you could possibly be. Some run away from it, others embraced that title of "ghuraba" (strangers, as Mo predicted).
Any words for the minority sects who have to deal with sunni extremism on a daily basis? Don't you dare tell me they don't speak out because Iraqis are open about hating wahabis, on TV, in the streets, and Shias are called kaafir without a second thought by many, and they don't even care.
What about the Muslims that are constantly distancing themselves?

No one is "hush hush". People just have other thing to do, because, umm them being human and all. We're forced to think about this shit every time something happens.

Anyway. The Jews obviously did it. Since they control the media and all.

First of all, my sympathy and thoughts goes out to the victims and their families. I wish the injured ones to recover fully.

That being said,I can't say how irk I am at some people making accusations towards muslims because its a bomb. Yes, we are aware of the talibans, suicide bombing and shit but that doesn't mean you should turn into Robert Spencer type and point fingers at muslims without proof which is silly and idiotic Roll Eyes

Finally, I'm sick of watching the hypocrisy of the "so-called International media" that keeps bombarding us with the news 24/7 including some newspapers here copy-pasting AFP/Reuters page. Of course I'm not saying attacks at any place other than USA is more or less worse(inb4 someone says that) but if you ask me if I really give a damn about the news, I'd be lying if I say yes. So much for the horrible shit that is happening in this world that I can't really put an effort to care about this.
