    I dunno, I'm of the school of thought that friends come and go and don't mean much in the long-term; ultimately their own families come first to them. I think friendship might be overrated.

    I think the reason most people see romantic love as overrated is due to their bad experiences(directly or indirectly)which is understandable. Romantic relationship has the potential to make or break a person.

    I can't speak for romantic love because I haven't experienced it yet but if we are talking about love among friends and socializing.

    I can't think of a better feeling than that which comes when you are hanging out with your best friend.

    It's not possible for love and socializing to be over rated because that is one of the purposes of life. 


    IMO the entire point of living is for love, friendship and the noble pursuit of knowledge.

    Unlike romantic relationships good friendships don't break unless one person does something really stupid and doesn't apologize.

    I want to invest more time into creating friendships during my uni years than romantic relationships  I'll only be looking for casual dating .

    Heh no serious romantic relationships for me until I'm at least 26. Gotta enjoy life first Tongue

    Friendship can turn into an ugly one too, Friends can betray you,lie to you(the kind of lie that will affect you negatively, not the harmless ones) and even deceive you as well. Sometimes its overrated but sometimes its not, I'm just saying this because these are likely to happen especially if you have a lot of friends and there is a truth in Al-Alethia's post about "Friends come and go" but there are some that are worth holding on to, e.g. I have friend now that lives in my hometown and I haven't seen him for six years, that was the longest time we haven't met and before that it takes 1-2 years for us to meet occasionally. We have been friends since when we were 10 and anytime we meet we spend hours and hours talking even while we take a walk or drive, this time around we talked for the entire night until the break of dawn. Now that's a friend to me.

    If you really want friends, just hang out with few that you can trust otherwise you will end up with the fucked up ones and shady types.

Like I said in uni I'm only going to focus on casual dating.  Which means me and the girl get to have some short term fun with each other without making any commitments. I won't be with anyone long enough to fall in love.  Wink

    Trees. Trees are fucking underrated. I love trees. I choose a new neighborhood largely on the quality of its trees. Now that the trees are blooming again, I'm remembering why I moved to the neighborhood I did. 75% of the problems in the middle east probably stem from the fact that there aren't any fucking trees there. Think about it. Even in the quran Muhammad went on and on about how Jannah would have rivers and palm trees.Trees are good. Trees make me happy.
