Couldn't find a thread on search so...Inspired by HM I think

    What's your bucket list?

I want to own a classic hippie van, or at least experience it at some point:

Yes!! Great thread! So, my bucket list is divided into two sections: long term and short term goals. The short term goals should all be experienced within the next year and are as follows:

Seeing the West Coast of my own country (including surfing in the Pacific Ocean)

    Sky diving

    Water Jet flying

The long term goals are within the next 5 years plus:

Seeing the ruins at Machu Picchu

Checking out Australia (Coastal cities and the Outback)

Going falconing with these guys (I hope their sort still exist by then)

I'll make a bucket list when I can see some way of making enough money to indulge in such fantasies.
Knowing my luck, once I have enough money I'll be too ill or too dead to enjoy it.

They don't even have to be grand steps anyway, just little things you want to experience in life. A tick list.

Brazil for the World Cup next year! It seems like a dream coming true. All the hard work is done, like convincing my mum that this is a good idea, having a distant relative of my fellow traveler and friend rent us her holiday villa etc.

A month for binge drinking, samba carnivals in Copacabana and the beautiful game. Looking forward to it!!

Damn you lucky bastard. I have been wanting to go but hotels in Brazil are so damn expensive. Are you going to get tickets to any games?

Tonyt: Yeah, the accommodation was the greatest concern, but what luck we ended up having. My friend's mother had gotten hold of a distant relative in Rio and she offered us her holiday villa for a month (for free initially, but we insisted we pay at least something). So yeah, that's just great.

As for match tickets, I won't pay absurd prices for them. I'll just have to wait and see where the approximated price is when FIFA puts the ticket up for sale by january next year. I'll at least have a quarter final or two or maybe a semi final if I'm lucky. I'll just have to wait and see. But I'm a lot more tempted by the prospect of people from all around the world gathering in cultured and exotic Brazil for a month dedicated to hedonism. Now that I appreciate!  Wink

Thank you very much Berbs  Afro
