Hi SaudiEx, what was crucial in your process of becoming an ex-muslim?

I believe in Spinoza's God who reveals himself in the orderly harmony of what exists, not in a God who concerns himself with fates and actions of human beings.

Translated: I had asked about what books he read that affected him, if he had told anyone about his religious views, and if he had traveled outside of Saudi Arabia.

Here is a rough translation of what he said back:

I got deep into refuting the Shia and I used to participate in courses of that nature, and I got deep into studying the books of ahadith (bukhari and Muslim) and I read the book “Ash-shakhsiyyah al Muhammadiyyah” (The Personality of Muhammad), and that was a beginning, of course, but the biggest effect came from my delving into the ahadith in bukhari and Muslim and relating them to the Ayaat.

As for my religious views, of course I haven’t told anyone about them except for some on social media, but in real life, I haven’t told anyone except one of my open minded friends.

I haven’t traveled outside of Saudi Arabia yet, but I am going to travel soon.

By the way, I left Islam after long conversations with some scholars via my mobile phone and via paltalk. I have a lot of stories about them. It’s strange that I don’t see ex-muslims going to it, going to it was one of the reasons for leaving the religion. There are outrageous authentic Ahadith and ayaat that no sane person can believe.

Muhammed allowing the rape of female captives who are still married comes to mind. There are many others that Islamic scholars like to keep secret, even though they're considered authentic.
