`Oh, you can't help that,' said the Cat: `we're all mad here. I'm mad.  You're mad.'
`How do you know I'm mad?' said Alice.
`You must be,' said the Cat, `or you wouldn't have come here.'

So what are your thoughts on this Quod?

     Reply #4 - September 11, 2013, 12:57 PM

    I think that

    "Love is not love
Which alters when it alteration finds,
Or bends with the remover to remove:
O no! it is an ever-fixed mark
     That looks on tempests and is never shaken;
It is the star to every wandering bark,
Whose worth's unknown, although his height be taken.
Love's not Time's fool, though rosy lips and cheeks
Within his bending sickle's compass come:
Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks,
But bears it out even to the edge of doom.
If this be error and upon me proved,
I never writ, nor no man ever loved."

by far meets the definition of linguistic more than the words in that picture.

`But I don't want to go among mad people,' Alice remarked.
`Oh, you can't help that,' said the Cat: `we're all mad here. I'm mad.  You're mad.'
`How do you know I'm mad?' said Alice.

Many more and better miracles are to be exposed as science thrives. Cheesy

If Allah is most merciful He should reveal His book unambiguous, complete (covering complete guidance for all time without need of any Hadith or Tafseer), easily and undoubtedly translatable to every language of world with a vivid sign of its proof from Him and its reach to every single human being.

what symmetry are you looking in this picture kutta?

the repetition of the themes that mr genius has selected are apparently in some kind of palindrome order.
the first theme (allah is brilliant) is apparently also the last theme
the second theme (allah doesnt get tired) is apparently also the second to last theme
    etc

and apparently, there is something amazing about that.

^ That, and because the middle line is referring to the "before" and "after" (i.e. the symmetry).

     Reply #9 - September 11, 2013, 02:06 PM

So, the miracle is that Muhammad would have been too dumb to write a few symmetrical lines of poetry on his own? That's not really saying much.

Is this the only chapter with this kind of thing?

Has there been a thread on the claimed Mathematical miracles of the Qur'an? That has often been given to me as a proof that will not allow peoples faith to sway when I state issues I have.

what is the big deal about that verse no.255 from SURAH COW in that picture?

    here let us read that
    Quote
    Quote

Transliteration 255:    Allahu la ilaha illa huwa alhayyu alqayyoomu la takhuthuhu sinatun wala nawmun lahu ma fee alssamawati wama fee alardi man tha allathee yashfaAAu AAindahu illa biithnihi yaAAlamu ma bayna aydeehim wama khalfahum wala yuheetoona bishayin min AAilmihi illa bima shaa wasiAAa kursiyyuhu alssamawati waalarda wala yaooduhu hifthuhuma wahuwa alAAaliyyu alAAatheemu

Yusuf Ali :    Allah! There is no god but He,-the Living, the Self-subsisting, Eternal. No slumber can seize Him nor sleep. His are all things in the heavens and on earth. Who is there can intercede in His presence except as He permitteth? He knoweth what (appeareth to His creatures as) before or after or behind them. Nor shall they compass aught of His knowledge except as He willeth. His Throne doth extend over the heavens and the earth, and He feeleth no fatigue in guarding and preserving them for He is the Most High, the Supreme (in glory).

Shakir :    Allah is He besides Whom there is no god, the Ever living, the Self-subsisting by Whom all subsist; slumber does not overtake Him nor sleep; whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth is His; who is he that can intercede with Him but by His permission? He knows what is before them and what is behind them, and they cannot comprehend anything out of His knowledge except what He pleases, His knowledge extends over the heavens and the earth, and the preservation of them both tires Him not, and He is the Most High, the Great.

NOMAN Ali Khan's rap song: Allah- there is none worthy of worship except HE; THE EVER LIVING, THE EVER-WATCHFUL., neither drowsiness nor sleep overtakes him., To him belongs whatever is in the heavens and the wrath., who is there that can intercede with him except by his permission? ., He knows what is before them and what will after them., and they encompass not a thing of his knowledge except for what he wills., His throne extends over the heavens and the earth., and their preservation tires him not., and he is most high the most supreme

Pickthal :    Allah! There is no deity save Him, the Alive, the Eternal. Neither slumber nor sleep overtaketh Him. Unto Him belongeth whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth. Who is he that intercedeth with Him save by His leave? He knoweth that which is in front of them and that which is behind them, while they encompass nothing of His knowledge save what He will. His throne includeth the heavens and the earth, and He is never weary of preserving them. He is the Sublime, the Tremendous.

Mohsin Khan: :    Allah! La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), Al-Hayyul-Qayyum (the Ever Living, the One Who sustains and protects all that exists). Neither slumber nor sleep overtakes Him. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is he that can intercede with Him except with His Permission? He knows what happens to them (His creatures) in this world, and what will happen to them in the Hereafter. And they will never compass anything of His Knowledge except that which He wills. His Kursi extends over the heavens and the earth, and He feels no fatigue in guarding and preserving them. And He is the Most High, the Most Great.

Shakir  gives closest translation of that verse from Arabic and our high school drop out "NOMAN Ali khan" with his better english vocabulary added  some rhyming words in to it to make it as a  rap song........ big deal..

Here let me give gillion better sounding better meaningful statements than that silly verse

For thousands of years hinduism has taught that energy can't be destroyed. modern science agrees with this. Is this a miracle proving hinduism is the true religion? How could they have known 5000 years ago?

Every religion gets about one thing right for every hundred it gets wrong.

No I'm not of Indian origin, 100% European I'm afraid. Irish blood with a dash of English  Wink I always enjoyed learning about religion when I was younger, not because I was looking for god, I just like stories and remembered the energy thing from when I was learning about Hinduism.

I'll have to look up the scripture, it may be in the song of Bhagavad Gita but don't quote me on that. Pralaya is coming to mind for some reason.

Oh, and I felt like banging my head against the wall reading those quotes. So can I assume from the quotes that soon Na-Dené, Algic, or Uto-Aztecan will become the majority spoken language and they'll get rid of the churches? What with christianity being a foreign religion, and a middle eastern one at that.
