Jesus wants a special relationship with you. You need to get down on your hands and knees and beg to receive His love. Open up yourself to Him and let Him enter you. Let Him come inside you and fill you up with His goodness.

Too fucking busy, and vice versa.

Well they have to convince you that you are a no good sinner so that you'll buy their magical sin-removing product. It's like the vacuum cleaner salesman who has to convince you that your carpets are dirty.

With all the bullshit that they come out with, when it comes to christianity and islam the only thing that really comes to mind is "A sinner in the hands of a dirty god".

`But I don't want to go among mad people,' Alice remarked.
`Oh, you can't help that,' said the Cat: `we're all mad here. I'm mad.  You're mad.'
`How do you know I'm mad?' said Alice.
`You must be,' said the Cat, `or you wouldn't have come here.'

    Quote
Do you admit that you are a GUILTY sinner, under the condemnation of God's LAW, deserving of Hellfire?

Do you believe that Jesus is the Son of God (God in the flesh) who died upon the cross, sacrificing His precious blood to pay for your sins? Do you believe that Jesus was buried and rose again three days later?

That is the good news of the gospel... Jesus DIED, He was BURIED and He is RISEN!

If you'd like to be saved, simply come in your heart as a guilty sinner and BELIEVE upon the Lord Jesus Christ.

Perhaps you'd feel comfortable praying a sinner's prayer as did the publican in Luke 18:13... “And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto Heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.”

Dear Jesus, I admit that I am a sinner deserving of Hell. I believe that you died, were buried and rose again. Please forgive me of my sins and take me to Heaven when I die. I now believe upon You alone, apart from all self-righteous works and religion, as my personal Savior. Thank you. Amen.

Just as you were born physically to your parents, so you were born spiritually into the Family of God when you received Jesus! Please understand that we are not saved because we pray a prayer; but because we believe upon the Lord Jesus Christ. It is certainly appropriate to ask the Lord in prayer to forgive and save us; but it is our faith which prompts us to pray. You could just as easily believe in your heart upon the Lord to be saved, and not pray at all. Salvation is of the heart, as we read in Romans 10:10, “For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness...”

It's she. And one of the things that annoys me is that I don't consider myself a sinner. I am not a sinner. But people who don't even know me keep calling me one. I was not born wicked. I was not born deserving hell. It's sick, wicked, and degrading.

I'm happy it's most likely not true.

Quite like Ishina's comment. One of the things that frustrates the religious in Europe is that we don't tend to believe in sin. Which isn't to say no belief in right or wrong, but sin as a concept is a fairy-tale. Then they resort to threats of hell and that's all they have even when they know you don't believe in hell.

What you say if I told you sin is human nature?

On the one hand, you need to accept Jesus Christ as your lord and saviour. Acknowledge him as god, the way the truth and the light. Anyone who fails to do this will burn forever. Then you say this same individual does not demand we worship him to get into heaven. Because obviously when you make it clear the only other alternative is eternal torment, that's not like blackmail or anything.

    That's where you contradicted yourself.

Let me put it this way: God does not demand we worship him. If he did they everyone would be worshipping him like mindless drones. What Christianity is, is God having a relationship with his creation.

Rejecting Christianity does not necessarily mean one will go to Hell. I believe the doctrine on this has been taken too literal.

Now why would God start from scratch and create a creation with a NATURE that pisses him off? That sounds like an epic fail on his part.

Okay, I read it again. My answer is the same. A sin is an immoral act. Something sinful is something wicked, evil wrong, deserving of punishment. If sin is human nature, then it's not a sin, it's just how we are. If sin is human nature, then it's not sin.

As for the other bit, again my response is the same. You said rejecting christianity does not necessarily mean one will go to hell, that you believe the doctrine on this has been taken too literal. So when god said worship me or go to hell he was joking?

What I am say is God created us with the possibility to sin, along with the possibility to do good, and exc. In other words humans didn't start out sinful. We were perfect in the beginning.

Man in high school I knew kids who didn't think my ma's family were Christian because they were Catholic and therefore we were all going to hell. It's whatever. Fuck them. Only thing born again churches are good for is when you're a kid you go to their "pizza pig outs" for the free pizza and preaching and leave as soon as you have your fill of pizza. That and if you're a preacher you can make some good money. Other than that, fuck em.

    fuck you

Yeah but once the original man and the woman created from his rib sinned, everybody descended from them for evermore, the entire human race, was born with sin.

Sin is pride, sin is jealousy, sin is vanity, sin is greed, and exc.

I still disagree with you on the God demanding we worship him. It will be up to him to judge who gets into Heaven.

If sin is human nature then obviously we started this way. it's human nature. But doing good is also human nature.

Let me ask you this. Let's say me and you were talking, you were wearing a low cut top and I glanced at your chest and thought "Nice tits". I don't say anything, it's just a fleeting glance, I don't react in anyway, is this a sin? And if so why?

Wouldn't that be considered lust or looking at another woman with lust?
  • Born Again Christian Trying To Tell Me I am Going To Hell On Facebook
     Reply #113 - September 19, 2013, 01:38 AM

Well, it could be lust or it could just be a glance. Let's say it is lust. If I tried to force myself on you then I'm sure you'd agree with me this would be wrong. if I just had a look and didn't react in any way, didn't leer, was discreet, just kept it to myself, what's wrong with that?

You are quite wrong about me my friend.
  • Born Again Christian Trying To Tell Me I am Going To Hell On Facebook
     Reply #118 - September 19, 2013, 01:57 AM

Well in my original point it was just a glance, not raging hormones, but okay let's say that is the situation.  I feel lust. If I tried to force myself on you then I'm sure you'd agree with me this would be wrong. if I just had a look and didn't react in any way, didn't leer, was discreet, just kept it to myself, what's wrong with that?

I think something I should point out is that I honestly don't think there's anything wrong with feelings. The fact I may feel attracted to a woman doesn't mean I'm going to act on it. The fact I can feel lust doesn't mean I'm going to be a rapist. So when I hear things like lust, jealousy, anger, all that, to me that's not in and of itself a bad thing. If you acted on them in a way that causes harm, that is a bad thing. So with lust, I just had a look and didn't react in any way, didn't leer, was discreet, just kept it to myself, I don't find anything AT ALL wrong or sinful about this. If I tried to force myself on you then this is something I would consider wrong/sinful.
