    My kid is 6 weeks old, he said something that cracked me up earlier, I think I'm paraphrasing, but it was something like: blarrrghhaygnfibghshd.

    That is hilarious. I taught my children as toddlers to yell out "Run Away!" before madly running off. From Monty Python. So cute.

    Remembered something the kiddo said a while ago. It was early in the morning and we had just stepped outside, you could hear an owl nearby. In that moment the kiddo yelled out "MOOOOOM!!! That's an owl, I can hear an actual owl! I didn't know owls were REAL!"  Cheesy

    My kiddo loves brown/dark skin. She gets this really dark brown tan just by spending a couple of hours playing outside. She was so happy, "mom I look like a Somali, it's so beautiful". It was hilarious, but didn't know how to respond Cheesy

    While I was a wee lad I was watching a Scooby Doo episode. There was a vampire about and the gang hopped into the Mystery Machine and drove over, there was a sign in mock gothic style saying WELCOME TO PENNSYVANIA with the customary flash of lightening. I knew about Transylvania and vampires, and seeing the obvious parody I honestly thought Pennsylvania was a made up place.

    Or that the internet has progressed to the point that newspapers are now ancient relics from the past that fewer and fewer people know the purpose of. Like Blockbuster once online downloading and streaming took off.

    Good point. I didn't consider that. I suppose they are foreign objects to my kids. Exotic things people talk about in books and cartoons.

    Thing about the cartoon movies now. They're so good at pulling at the heartstrings. I cry half the time at them, and I'm an emotional vacuum.

    So yeah, basically, these guys making the movies are like Satan, because no one else can have that kind of power.

    I had no idea. I cannot bear the tension in movies with people in them and switch them off, but cartoons usually don't hold my attention. However, I have recently come to suspect that I have an attention issue. I should try sitting still.
