    Yes I read it. It was written by a Muslim. Dr Miller is Abdul-Ahad Omar and Islamic lecturer. It repeats the same claims that have been discussed on this forum repeatedly, some of the claims have been discussed within the last month.

    I remember nothing because I didn't exist. Thus, when you die you stop existing just like when you didn't exist before your father and mother copulated, conceived and then gave birth to their offspring. Life is a journey from point A (birth) to point B (death).

    Do you have any kind of support or tangible evidence to the contrary? You like to come off like some kind of quasi-philosopher, but you have no substantial arguments for your claims. Even your theological claims, which differ immensely from traditional mainstream Islam, you have no support for. Smiley

    Yup.. It is just like body and soul. The body is an illusion, the soul a reality. It is the same with the flower and its fragrance: the flower is an illusion, but the fragrance is a reality: it stays as a spirit, it lives.

    A flower is not an illusion as it provides many useful functions to the plant. It attracts animals and insects for the purpose of reproduction. It protects vulnerable areas of the planet from damage, reproductive organs. Without the flower there is no fragrance. Your analogue is flawed as the whole flower serves a purpose, a purpose that can not exist without the flower. Both the flower and fragrance are "reality". Nice religious jargon which means nothing in the end.

    Cut one of your hands off, and then tell us whether you still think that your body is an illusion ( try not to get blood on the keyboard). Now you can go all neo-Platonic ( although the idea that you've read, let alone understood, Plato, Plotinus or their successors is entertaining ) and denigrate tangible physical reality in its opposition to your presumptive world of the eternal soul, but your entire being is encompassed by a really real reality that really is no illusion.

    You do know that without the flower there can be no fragrance, and without the body, no organ to perceive said fragrance? I can't experience your idea of a fragrance, but I can definitely go into the garden, with whoever wishes to accompany me, and we can share the experience of the actual fragrance of whatever happens to be blooming at the time. Reality is always going to trump degenerate mysticism.
