    He made around 35k for that video, he publically gave $1000 of it to the homeless guy. I'm happy the homeless guy got some money but this isn't an example of a good deed.

    To the recipient, leftover food or 5$ would also be an example of a good deed. The problem is giving 5$, 1000$ or even 10000$ to a homeless person doesn't solve anything and it certainly doesn't absolve us of our collective guilt for ignoring or participating in the suffering of the homeless, poor and vulnerable in our societies.  I know it sounds jaded but the sad reality is we are all responsible for homelessness and very few of us actually do anything meaningful (this includes the wealthy chap in the video) to help the homeless

    Every bit of money ever given to me when I was homeless made a difference to me.
    I didn't expect an apartment.
