We can at least agree that I was the only one apparently who did not think of it.  Wink

You don't want that from a scientist. Bad scientist! Bad! No cake for you.

`But I don't want to go among mad people,' Alice remarked.
`Oh, you can't help that,' said the Cat: `we're all mad here. I'm mad.  You're mad.'
`How do you know I'm mad?' said Alice.
`You must be,' said the Cat, `or you wouldn't have come here.'

I'm going to just start suggesting mutiny here and there and seeing where that takes us. Rubaya might join me.

What a ridiculous idea, mutinying against someone all knowing and all powerful. You're really digging yourself into a bigger hole here. Cheesy

I'm enjoying this thread, i have only skimmed over it but Quod you were talking about the brain, but isnt the brain only a storage device and that really it is our heart that experiences and computes every experience first, there is some new-ish science isnt there that says the heart is the original brain and that it creates a big electronic field around our body.. Apparently theres another in the bowels lol but i dont care to ponder on that one..

With regards to Islam Confusedagno, your original question is something i had battled with for a long time and still do.. Like how come Islam is so appealing and so very profound ! when compared to any other faith out there..?  why is this so when Islam has the same exact prophets and stories that are almost identical to the other mono faiths, it doesnt teach anything new, afterall it's based on all the same old stories that we hear about in judaism and christianity, so how come it is so persuasive and produces such radical and passionate devotees..  for the non beleivers islam is very much expert at marketing its "brand" it is very appealing to those who are seeking something new and once you trap yourself in the faith they create such fear and self loathing that you feel oblidged to stay,  otherwise face an eternity of hellfire, it is a huge cult that has created zombified followers, try asking a muslim about his or her deep feelings or thoughts about the meaning of life and the cosmos, they will come back at you with a "huh?" lol, because theyre incapable of thinking for themselves, theyre put on the spot and dont actually have any views on anything because they havent thought about anything for so long other than what theyre told to think..  rant to be cont....

Yyes, Suki, sometimes I think you need to be more selective about your sources. That doesn't seem right.

havent any of you heard of that before about the heart  ?  there some science that says that the heart is the original brain and master of all thoughts and emotions that send the experience to the brain for stoarage, i will find links later, just out doors

I saw a documentary a while back saying that patients who receive heart transplants sometimes develop the habits, tastes and even memories of their donors and that some doctors are warning people that this can happen.

.................... "why is this so when Islam has the same exact prophets and stories that are almost identical to the other mono faiths, ??  it doesnt teach anything new, afterall it's based on all the same old stories that we hear about in Judaism and Christianity, "...............

Good words suki  good words .,

you are absolutely right there ., That is because there is NO religious theology in Quran.  All stories,  all goody goodies are copy pasted from OT & NT  including some nonsense  and there is NOTHING NEW in Quran that you will not find in so-called religious sayings of that time,  except two things..

1). Quran often states Christ is neither son of god nor god ( I believe this  also comes out of Jewish/Christian sect of Arabia  NOT FROM BEDOUIN BABOONS and that is also copied in to allah book)

2). rules for marriage.. such as marrying adopted son's wife., rules for divorce such as three talaq nonsense., And rules for bending ass up in to the sky,  and rules for who  should marry whom  and how many women you can marry sleep with.. .

And so called science of Quran which is absolute nonsense.  you see this..,

"Now let man but think 'from what he is created! He is created from a water gushing forth― Proceeding from between the backbone and the ribs" ......  At-Tariq, 5-7)

you need allah/god to tell that rubbish??    EVERY ANIMAL ON THIS EARTH BEFORE HUMAN BEING knows something comes out the animal  male organ to make baby animals...

FOOooooooooooools  mock them and move on...

I really can't say I've ever heard that one before...There's a man in our lab who is actually doing a revision of an old experiment that was believed to have implications for the possible physical qualities of "memories" using planaria. I have my opinions about what his outcome will be (unimpressive), but it's interesting to see nonetheless.

I regret to inform you that your source was pulling their "science" out of a storage device in their rectum.

This is why people read your posts and think "Where did this shit come from?" Smiley

And again are other religions just as indepth as Islam in its teachings?

Islam actually seems very shallow and underwhelming to me. Barely a step up from Mormonism, which is little more than amateur Christian fanfiction. Islam is a featherweight compared to the actual intellectual meat of Buddhism, or the sheer magnitude and explanatory detail of Hinduism, or the sophistication of Christian apologetics.

Even the off the wall intricacies of Jewish Kabbalah are far more intriguing than anything Islamic mysticism has come up with.

Hey yeah its quite a new science, well kind of, they say the heart creates an electromagnetic field around the body, like a bubble and picks up feelings, atmosphere, computes and then sends signals to the brain where logic is made from it, they likened the electo field to the sensitive hairy body of a spider and explained that is why we sense that someone is behind us, it explains attraction too, vibes, which is where two hearts beat in synch, compatability..   its interesting to me anyway..

sorry confuse for going off topic with my random thoughts agaaain : /   : ).... xxx

"Prominent medical expert like Doctor Maurice Renard"

For being so prominent, I can't seem to find much about this guy, although apparently it's the name of an author who wrote a story where a murderer's hands were transplanted onto a new host and the hands caused the new host to become a murderer, too.  Grin
