  • WLC - Agnostic Theist?
     OP - March 29, 2014, 07:13 PM

There was a debate between William Lane Craig and Lawrence Krauss on "The Life, Universe and Nothing: Why is there something rather than nothing?". When Krauss asked Craig if he's certain that God exists, Craig responds by saying "NOO!".

Would it be safe to call Craig an agnostic theist? After all, he has a belief in God, even though he's not certain that God exists.

    Me: Hey Allah!
    Allah: KAFIR!

Not necessarily. I think he was pointing out that "certainty", as in 100% absolute certainty is not possible for any human being. Therefore, one just has to look for the best explanation that fits our evidences, which according to WLC, is the existence of God.

    ^this

i'm sure if you asked WLC if he a) was 'certain' god exists b)'believes' in god and c)considers himself an agnostic the answers would be no, yes, no.

.well why don't we add full debate link on that  discussion between Prof Lawrence Krauss and  BILLY LAME  Cat.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V82uGzgoajI

and the only  way,  fellows like  BILLY LAME  CATS  will change their opinion on their god from their religious books is., If you could turn them IN TO MONKEY by doing some Genetic experiments on them.,  may be  injecting some DNA  in to them..  Otherwise they will run in endless circles with their soul business..

Do not let silence become your legacy.. Question everything
I renounced my faith to become a kafir,
the beloved betrayed me and turned in to  a Muslim

By his own account, W.L. Craig leaves no room for anything resembling intellectual honesty and embracing doubt. He's made it clear that, even if the evidence were overwhelming and all of his arguments refuted without a shadow of a doubt, he'd still believe immovably because he has within him the self-authenticating witness of the holy spirit and he knows his god exists. If the evidence contradicts this, the evidence is wrong. And he demonises the very concept of doubt, literally, by saying it is the work of the devil.

Too fucking busy, and vice versa.

tl:dr; version: By his own account, W.L. Craig is a twat.

Devious, treacherous, murderous, neanderthal, sub-human of the West. bunny

This is of course assuming that agnostic theism isn't a contradiction in terms. Agnostic deism I can grudgingly accept, but the idea of agnostic theism (pace the god of classical theism) is an intellectual sham that should be ridiculed wherever it rears its ugly head.

WLc actually admitted if you follow reason and logic you should be atheist or at least agnostic. He sells a dishonest position.
