    As the topic says, list your top five reasons for being alive

    I can't really think of any personally right now

    Well, I'm happy for being alive because I can be the mother of my daughter, and hopefully be the best mother I can be. I am happy to be alive because I can meet new people, go to new places, experience and learn new things. There is so much joy and love out there, even though you will always have sorrow and heart ache with it. But it's worth it. I am also happy to be alive, because I still have a chance to make a difference in the world. It doesn't have to be something grand and special, it's enough if I've touched just one person, helped just one person, so that they knowingly or unknowingly have been positively affected by what I could do for them.

    That's what I can think of right now. Either way, being alive is better than being dead. Death is so final, wile life is full of potential and possibilities.

    3-boobies
    4-beer
    5-canadian bacon
    in that order.


    On a more serious note though,  I'm happy about my mere existence and being able to  appreciate the wonders our universe has for us.

    1) The fact that my body keeps on going at the moment. I wake up… and I’m alive.
    2) Possibly my nephew. I don’t want to be without him.

    My top five feel quite boring compared to everyone else

    1. I look forward to raising my kids and giving them the tools to navigate this world
    2. Double my income in the next 4 years
    3. Start my own business, so that I can start doing what I love for a living
    4. Keep myself healthy to help fight the onset of middle age
    5. Figure out a dastardly plan to help bring kufr to the world,
    Did I ever mention that I am a bit or a megalomaniac
    A perfectly just God who sentences his imperfect creation to infinite punishment for finite sins is impossible

    3. The air I'm breathing isn't too polluted.

    Can't think of anything so important in my life that is keeping me alive other than my other half, had a failed suicide attempt a couple of years back and a history of self-mutilation before i met her but since then life has been meaningful and being a woman she always keeps me confused and curious.

    Thanks. Not just love but a friend as well, i wouldn't be alive today if it wasn't for her. I wish the same for everyone else or at least have some one they can share their fears and aspirations.

    That's my idea of bliss too, a combination of friendship and romantic love.. Congrats..  i was in a similar situation to your gf recently, i had a potential partner whos bro committed suicide and he was feeling very depressed and suicidal too becauae of this, i tried to help him but for some reason he turned against me : (  i was gutted for a long time..     I do think happiness is having an extended family (if youre lucky to have one) and friends too, fine wine lol, good food and lots of laughter..

    There are so many reasons to live that I would find it hard to create a list of 5 reasons. The fact of being alive is a reason in itself. Personally, as a scientist, simply observing the beauty of nature and the cosmos is reason enough to live, yet to measure and make note the mechanisms, and/or solve the underlying mathematics, is something greater, not a reason to live but a reason to relish life.
