I find it alarming that approximately 70 % of the American population do not believe in evolution and natural selection....

Gallup shows that it's at 47% who believe, 32% of which believe in theistic evolution (God guided it).

I think they're last place among developed countries, which is really sad.

I just assumed that the satirical article used real statistics, maybe that was too much to ask for
