^ I love cheap "costume" jewelry, or old cheap jewelry from thrift stores. I never buy real jewelry, especially not earrings, since I will lose one from each pair eventually. Alll of my jewelry together, minus my wedding band and some diamond rings, must be worth maybe $20.00.

In Bangladesh it has become a custom of many to use imitation jewelleries instead of the real ones, unless it be one's own wedding. This is because of the price and the risk of having it hijacked or stolen. Besides the faux ones are not that bad you know. I do love them.

I would be fucking pissed. All my jewellery is real and I'm poor enough that I can't easily replace it.

Mine is real, too. But mostly stuff like sandstone and agate, cheap jade. On string or silver. But I cannot afford it new, either.
