    My husband told me a story yesterday about how one of his friends here was invited to an evening alone with a lady friend of his, and the friend suspects that the night will end in a one-night stand. He called to ask the husband's advice: should he commit the horrible crime of zina during Ramadan, or should he commit the horrible crime of zina after?

    The husband apparently told him not to act like a good man on Ramadan and a hypocrite the rest of the year, and the friend got irate and now they aren't speaking. Cheesy

    Wait, I'm confused. Grin Maybe the way I worded the story...

    My husband's friend is the one who is thinking about doing it. My husband just lectured him on acting so holy on Ramadan and then having unlawful intercourse right after, that he ought to choose one side or the other, and now they're a fightin'!

    Zina is unlawful intercourse, it can mean either. There's married zina and unmarried zina. In Afghanistan they even have "forced zina" for rape :/

    totally random, but is it necessary to fluently know Dutch over there or can you get away with knowing just a little bit?

    ^^^^ They speak English very well most of the cestlavie. If they hear a hint of an English accent they start speaking English; very annoying.
