I seriously pity those who have strict families who live in a place where it doesn't even start to get dark until 10pm.

In the UK people fast until about 9:15 and start just before 3.

Talk about messing up your body clock.

Is it just me, or does water taste horrible at 3 am in the morning.

Imagine eating tajine (or indian curry) at 3 AM, which is exactly what my family did.

How do you even have an appetite that early in the morning?

I've read a few posts about people working out during Ramadan...does anyone have tips? I normally work out 4-5 days at least at the gym hardcore cardio for an hour....but I've only worked out twice this week  Cry  At home when my parents were out of the house....I worked hard on my body to get it toned and I'm afraid I'm going to loose everything and turn into flab....so to supplement I've been counting my calories and watching what I eat even more....so I don't put on weight.....I'm at home now...and I could go to the gym to work out....but don't have any strength because I wasn't able to smuggle any food and if I'm out of the house too long my parents get suspicious (even though I'm 30).

The tough part is my mom almost NEVER freaking leaves the house (she stays at home and is a domestic engineer while my dad is a civil engineer and brings home the money) and is always walking around....so I never get any privacy and there is always someone lurking around....so she'll know if I'm working out.

So..that's my rant...I miss working out more than being able to eat during this month....it was one of the only things that helped make me feel good about myself

Fuck! People in London are fasting 18 hours this Ramadhan!!?? Allah is such a dick man, I swear.

My relatives in certain parts of Canada are fasting 20 hours.

Have you ever done 20 hour fasts HM ?

In my opinion a life without curiosity is not a life worth living

It did say sunrise was at around 5am on my Islamic fridge calender though, which is odd cause it seems to get bright before then. So I checked it again and read the small print I saw iftar or aftar or wtf is around 3am. Holy f**k that really is around 19 hours gtf outahere anyone who thinks I'm doing that.

This is how it translated: "You godless heretic O, O stingy in the narrow". That what you said?

More or less "you godless heretic, you who's stingy in the month of strife." it's funnier in Arabic, I swear :p

I forgot to plan ahead and sneak some food into my room so now I'm starving for 19 hours with the rest of the family. I really don't see how believers have that "special" feeling during ramadan.
