This is the first year where I have not even been bothered about the World Cup. I might pick it up later in the competition, but I can't seem to get excited about it.

Too fucking busy, and vice versa.

Outside of Honda and Kagawa I saw little evidence of it.

I'm a United fan, so I see Kagawa skill even when he's on the bench.

Yes, they are pedestrian, but generally they are less technically inept than, say, England.

    Honda is utter shit, incidentally.

Am I the only one that starting to see the trend of using wing backs in this tournament, its like if a team doesn't have two wing backs then the chances of winning the cup is low. I kinda like wing backs though but not as much as I love seeing wingers or forwards like Robben and Ribery in action.

England, Uruguay, Italy... and Costa Rica are the first to qualify, leaving Italy and Uruguay to fight for the final position. I can hardly believe it. This world cup has been amazing so far.

Costa Rica, no chance they said.

Don't think its new really. South Americans have been using them for decades. Same with Spanish and some French teams.

That explains the number of them coming from South America and France. Roberto Carlos and Cafu are the finest I have seen so far.

I  think Americans are cheating  They seem to have brought that guy Cristiano Ronaldo...  Reports have been circulating questioning the fitness of Ronaldo, who is considered critical to Portugal's chances of success at the World Cup

Nigeria's play was effective but not very interesting to watch. I was very impressed with Iran, esp. in the second half. I'm hoping they beat Bosnia and go through to the last 16. Obviously this relies on Argentina giving Nigeria a run for their money, a draw would be disastrous.

Seriously WTF bosnia, your play was atrocious. I wanted you to go through to see some more dynamic football in the WC, but alas...

Ghana though. I was very, very impressed. Asamoah Gyan is an absolute beast. It will be a mighty fucking shame if they don't go through. Pity Muntari landed himself in a less than ideal situation...

Nigeria's play was effective but not very interesting to watch............

I saw fantastic move by Nigerian player/Coach in that NIG Vs  BOSN & HER  game .,  that technique almost eliminates   the corner kick  headbutt goals.  There was a goal keeper and another tall forward player inside the goal post sharing the goal space to block those head butt goals.
