I've known a few people to be falsely accused. Even if I didn't I'd be aware of the possibility, just as I am in other types of accusations. But the thing is, and maybe I'm in the minority here, it doesn't taint anything for me. I don't automatically believe one person is lying based on he said/she said. I understand either one could be telling the truth, but I honestly don't automatically find myself siding with one person over another just because.
I have to ask, how do you know they were falsely accused?
Very often a conviction won't happen because of lack of evidence, or the defendants legal representation being able to successfully turn it all against the woman. Legally allowed to completely shred the rape victim apart on the stand, using her clothes, alcohol level, or sexual history against her.
Lack of conviction is often taken as some proof that the allegation was false in the first place.
Rape, especially if the woman has taken some time before reporting it, is often extremely hard to prove.
That's why I ask, an actual false rape allegation is quite different, and results in prosecution of the false victim, which is why I ask, how exactly do you know these people you speak of, were definitely falsely accused?
