That time of the year again. Anyone watching it? Any favourites? Predictions? Who do you think will take the titles this year?

    WAR MURRAY

Too fucking busy, and vice versa.

I'll tune in if the Fed retirement tour is official. As a Fed fan, his last performances have been sad to watch.  Cry

     Cheesy

Was hoping to see Fed win, and a bit down to see him go down the way he did. But seeing the really composed way he handled a defeat in which he played such great and exhilarating tennis, I can't help but feel that Fed is in a much better place than one in which such fickle turns of victory and defeat are dictating his life. A far contrast from his tears at an earlier defeat to Nadal in years past.

Just a hunch but think those two cherubs we saw in the stands may have something to do with it. :3

Yeah, he's never gonna have the hunger of his youth again. Djokovic has that hunger. Even so, it was an even match. The scores were literally identical at so many points in the match.

I really wanted Bouchard to win the ladies. I think she's fantastic. So good to see new talent with the potential to usurp the current pantheon of champions. There's no reason why she wont get a slam in the next couple of years.

Don't even think it was anything mental. He played amazing in the pressure situations. Just as he lost to Nadal in the past it comes down to immovable objects beating unstoppable forces in the game of tennis, all other things being relatively equal. Fed doesn't have the legs anymore so he simply has to do too much with the raquet against these guys and he makes mistakes he can't afford to make.

Its part of the joy and agony of being a Fed fan and watching him play right now. At this point in his career he's quite possibly the most well rounded shot-maker the game has ever seen, but its still not enough to win the big ones.
