Right so I am 19. I am a 2nd year Comp Sci student but I live with parents.

And I am really extraverted so I like going out partying on Friday nights but I have to be home by 11:30. I think it is bullshit but I cannot complain because it is their house and I am living off their money. I cannot really argue.

I wanna party till 4 AM or something and get a bit drunk but how do I deal with this curfew? Like help me, suggest any ways to argue.

Currently, I am applying for part time jobs so I can get a job, pay some bills and then argue about the curfew and do whatever under the excuse "Hey at least I make money." Or I can move out...

Help please....

I don't think there's really any way around it until you have your own place. Any friends who can cover for you, say you're sleeping over?

I wish I could help...but if it makes you feel any better I'm 30 and my curfew is 10:30...I can't stay out till 10:30 on a daily basis though...maybe once a week I stay out that late if that....my parents give me crap if I'm out for more than 7 hours at a time not on a school/work day probably because they don't trust me and feel like I should be home most of the time if I'm not at school or work. I tried staying out till 1:30am and got phone calls from my younger brothers, and both parents....the harassment was too much for me to deal with so I just gave up.

If you are a guy though you probably have a better chance of getting away with staying out. If you are able to move out and you don't think your parents will come find you I'd suggest doing that...get a job and save money for a while and put up with the curfew, but move out if it's safe for you to do so when you have enough. That or get married.

When me and my mates go bar/club hopping in the city soon I'll just come home at 4 AM and not give a damn. Hey, at least I am working towards a degree and I keep sending job applications all the time.

I'll just tell them that the curfew is BS and I'd rather die having fun at 20 then die living a safe and boring life at 100.

Look for alternatives as Quod said.

You may not be missing out much at all...partying and getting drunk is overrated, especially at university. Focus on your study, increasing your intelligence, getting a great qualification, getting a good job and make your own money/get your own house and THEN you can do what you want as you are, after all, living in their house and it appears as hthough your parents have given you some leeway. Still, it's the principle that counts, that I understand of being mature enough to make your own decisions.

Have patience, wait a while, the clubs and alcohol can wait. No need to vex. Focus on the positives. What are you studying?

No free mixing of the sexes is permitted on these forums or via PM or the various chat groups that are operating.

Can you see into the future? Always do things in a calm and rational manner.

I only party on Friday's if I have no assignments or homework to do.

I do Computer Science. Do not really like it. Interested in doing post-grad in psychology or doing business.
