  • Where do you think Islam will be in the UK in 30 years?
     OP - August 25, 2014, 12:12 PM

I think, We are at a major cross road with Islam in the UK.

One direction leads to Islam-asization off all the major urban ares  (London, Manchester, Birmingham, Bradford, Glasgow) etc.
Muslim MPs are instilled in most of these areas, Muslims are getting more radicalised. Muslims are also getting more ghettoised.

The other view is that  the number off anti muslim incidents are rising every year. The media generally are espousing more anti islamic views. Their is huge hostilities towards muslims from being seen as benefits cheats, rape gangs, filling up the prisons and not wanting to assimilate in to British society. Not forgeting the Muslamic Ray ghans.

The middle ground of toleration and intergration seems to be disappearing.

In 45 years I have seen huge changes.

Where do you think we will be in  the next 30 years? Do you think life for muslims will be harder or maybe you think muslims will begin to rule the roost, or thing will remain the same?

the way forward is to simultaneously defend Muslims from discrimination and defend secularism and oppose Islamism and Salafi / Wahaabism in our society

And also encourage critical thinking, remove state funding for faith schools and encourage in diverse areas schools that have a broad range of ethnicities.

Political correctness has to go and also people need not to think that offence to them is a reason for others not to say unpopular but possibly true things.

The big change will be because of climate change.  Oil will have become valueless and treated as the very dangerous pollutant - like mercury and lead - it is . We have known this for a while but because of the money invested things have  not changed, but will rapidly.

People will slowly realise that doing things cooperatively makes sense, so the transition to a sustainable world will happen, interestingly led by Israel investing in the region, which it currently cannot do because of the politics.

Islam will then become the cultural religion of groups who historically followed it, but it will obviously show the various groups who have always been part of it, who will not need to fight each other for survival because we will all be far more post modern about things, people will be allowed to have slaves for example, but only between consenting adults.  Groups will be allowed war games, but only where no collateral damage can happen.

When you are a Bear of Very Little Brain, and you Think of Things, you find sometimes that a Thing which seemed very Thingish inside you is quite different when it gets out into the open and has other people looking at it.
