So I have been going through some rocky times,
I would like to post poems I write during this time in this thread  Smiley

    My Porcelain Doll

She sat in the corner, like a still porcelain doll
Like another picture, just draped on the wall
Beautiful from afar, her skin looked smooth
Her eyes, large, black, but glazed over, like a doll

The picture of perfection, she appeared to be
From the outside she was everything
Everything they wanted her to be
The act, hardened her, to a pointless perfection

Don’t get too close, you’ll see the cracks
    You’ll feel the sharp roughness
    Of her seemingly smooth skin
You will see, only her eyes remain dead

Don’t touch her, you will feel the cracks
In her porcelain skin, and she will fall
    To pieces before your eyes
Revealing all that was hidden, for too long

For she is not a doll
    She is not perfect,
    She is not broken
She does not need to be fixed

    All she is, is human
Hiding behind a mask of deception
    A deception they want
    A deception for survival

    A deception that ate away
The fire burning inside of her
    Until she become still
    Like My porcelain doll

    Nice  Smiley

The tempo/beat of it increases as the poem goes on. Is that deliberate? I haven't seen that too often...

    THE FALL

    Been pushed around, thrown around
Forced to the ground, trampled on
She pushed away, screamed, threw her fists in the air
    No one seemed to care

    Been ignored, frowned upon
    Glared at, manipulated
They want control, they want her
    A version they created

But she remains, through the tears
Through the fight, through the bullying
    She remains who she is
Even though her heart in aching

So they push and they push
Till there is no where left to push
Till the ground beneath her is as hard
As rock, and her back as tough

And she looks up in anger
    And stands up tall
    Brushing away the dirt
    They covered her in
    This is it
    She will scream
This is how I shall be
    And proudly she will turn

    And she will walk away
    From them all
    And never look back
    Not ever submitting to those

    That made her fall.

    Expressionless

Her face is like a blank canvas
    While her mind is splattered
    With a mess of thoughts
    She edges to the corner

    The thoughts shoved aside
    Built up frustrations
    Her mind screams
    But she remains expressionless

    So much goes unsaid
    She wants to tell them
Yet she can’t find the words
    Yet she’s afraid

    Because once she lets loose
All that is inside of her
    She will lose them all
But at least they will know

    Maybe she feels
    Unlucky
    Afraid
    Alone

    But they should know
    Who she really is
    She should stop hiding
    Yet she knows

    That who she is
And who they want her to be
    Will never be the same
    So she remains
    Expressionless
