    Had some muslims I bumped into insisting the alcoholic drink I was enjoying was offensive to allah and bad things would happen, so I said I could prove that allah wanted me to have my drink. They took me up on it, so I prayed to allah that if me drinking this drink was his will please give absolutely no sign. And lo, no sign came! Thy will be done. Cheers. cheers

    Actually they would probably come back with something like:

    "Well, allah had planned in advance that you would say that and made you have that drink so he could have the fun of burning you in hell"

    "Don't forget, allah leads astray who he will!"     (which nullifies the Free Will Argument btw)

    Nice. So how did they respond?

    BTW, this lack of signs thing reminds me of the Gay Mardi Gras parade in Sydney some years ago. Some of the local Christian fundies were praying to their god, to make it rain on the night of the parade. Needless to say, the weather was perfect. Funnily enough, they didn't seem to take any lessons from this. Go figure.

    A Christian answer to this might be  - "God answers prayers 100% of the time that he wants to, but his answers can be "Yes, No, or Wait", so god obviously has a longer term plan 'final solution' Wink Wink for the gays that us lowly humans would never understand"
