    If you have family members who have been following him for years, like I do, you would realise that his followers are becoming more and more nutty too. He is also becoming more 'hardcore'. He used to do lots of talks about end times and dajjal and shit, then he seemed to soften a bit after 9/11.
    Maybe he sees the muslim ummah becoming more and more batshit crazy so he thinks he has to up his game to stay relevant.
    Whatever the case. I don't trust these fuckers. They are manipulators of vulnerable people.

    Seriously. after 9/11 he was pushed big time as a great example of a genuinely moderate and rational Muslim scholar.
