    Hey folks,
    I haven't yet read the Qu'ran or the Hadith, so I wanted a neutral opinion on whether or not Islam as an ideology is anti-semitic/anti Jew? Does anti-Semitism in the Muslim world mainly arise from hatred of Israel's foreign policy, or from Islamic scripture itself? I am aware of the fact that there were tribal quarrels between Muhammed and the Jew's at the time.

    Sorry short answer as its late lol

    The Qur'an definitely portrays the Jews in a poor light, saying they broke their covenants, broke the sabbath, killed their prophets and changed the book with their hands etc...

    But the modern situation in the middle east without doubt adds to this and so there is a mixture of religious and political ingredients.
