The Oldest Holocaust Survivor

I remember meeting a holocaust survivor as a child. She'd been invited to my school to talk to the class. All those years later, more than half a century, and she still cried when answering questions. I vividly remember the tattoo on her arm from a camp. Wish I'd been older when I met her, I don't think I truly grasped the enormity of her life and the holocaust at that age.
`But I don't want to go among mad people,' Alice remarked.
`Oh, you can't help that,' said the Cat: `we're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad.'
`How do you know I'm mad?' said Alice.
`You must be,' said the Cat, `or you wouldn't have come here.'
