"Atheism or Belief: Which is Evidence Based?" A Dialogue with Dr Arif Ahmed and Ayyaz Mahmood Khan

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cn9YnVS0vqs

P.S. Ayyaz mentions, around 40:00, a supposed prophecy about airplanes. I could not find what was mentioned in any of the sahih collections. Does anyone know what source this is based on?

    Your article is an excellent reference point, but there are more prophecies regarding the End of Time etc that you could have included. E.g. the hadith regarding that people will traverse great distances in short periods of time; the hadith describing an airplane as "a white donkey made of iron whose span between its two ears is 40 cubits." This hadith refers to what the Dajjal will ride on. The Prophet (pbuh) is also reported to have said that the Dajjal will enter into every city. When asked what the Dajjal's speed will be like the Prophet (pbuh) is reported to have replied: "Like a wind that leaves a cloud in its trail." and so on. These are particularly related to the coming of the Dajjal. There is also, I have heard in a lecture by Hamza Yusuf, an ayat regarding Pollution as one of the signs of the end of time - i.e. a thick clear smoke that one can see in the sky;

fools  take few words here and there create silly stories out of them... talk  nonsense write nonsense,  teach nonsense and preach nonsense..

WHITE DONKEY.... fools., what white donkey?   why white donkey .. can I paint different color on Plane?   how about that Black donkey .. that B-52 bomber?

here is one more donkey prophecy  from those links

    Quote
    l. Nakedness of women while still being dressed and people copulating like donkeys in public. Obviously a direct reference to soft and hard-core pornography, which has become a dark stain on our society in recent time..

how about predicting DNA? Oxygen? hydrogen? ATP,,,??...Atomic power stations.. flying to Mars and beyond??

STUPID PEOPLE ............    mock them and move on...

Do not let silence become your legacy.. Question everything

WHY WHY WHY!! Why is Arif Ahmed honoring this idiot by appearing in this clown show?

I think Ayyaz pulled this prophecy crap out of his backside in order to totally catch Arif Ahmed off guard, since his claims cannot be verified in this debate. Ayyaz claims he has a book by Mirza Ghulam Ahmed which contains prophecies that have been fulfilled 100%, but he doesn't present that magical book (since no such book exists), so no-one can challenge it in the same session. This is quite a sneaky tactic and allows him to survive Arif's arguments till the end.

Btw. whats with calling Krishna and Laotzu 'prophets'? WTF?

What a waste of time :(
Can anyone please send Arif a list of Quranic verses that are scientifically bunk? Howcome he can't cite a single one!

Btw. just finished it, felt like a 2-hour long advertisement for Ahmadiyya cult. Ayyaz gets to sell his snake oil, nobody bothers with any logical arguments for theism or any logical refutation of atheism, Ahmedi plants openly proselytize, and the non-Ahmedi audience members go home confused about what the fcuk was it they just attended.

I actually quite like this discussion. Ayyaz argued that his community's prayers would work. Harvard did a 10 year study on this. Unfortunatly it yielded no results

^Did you enjoy the part where Arif Ahmed , out of nowhere, ends up praising Ahmadiya as one of the most peaceful religions around? Where did that come from?? Just recently Ali Rizvi exposed their duplicity by demonstrating from their founder's book the same level of zealotry that you would expect from a mullah, e.g. death punishment for Homosexuality, declaring other muslims apostates etc. etc. Of course I don't care about their founder, if they want to renounce some of his teachings, all the more power to them, but then they should also be brave and deprecate the violent portions of Quran and Hadith as well. Only then they would appear genuine, after-all they present themselves as a 'reform movement'!

Sorry I didn't notice, what part was that? Was he praising Ayyaz's interpretation or Ahmadis as a whole? I just liked the general discussion. Arif made some compelling arguments and did a good job of rebutting Ayaaz's arguments, which were mostly unspecific prophecies.
