Reasonable. There are tons of places like that all over the world. We have pockets in the US like that, too. It would be so lovely if everyone would just do the right thing.

Here's an example of something similar in Italy. I'd be surprised if this actually happened in Greece though. I think in the long run they'll just end up with a few hundred thousand more immigrants living in Athens and Thessaloniki while the depopulation of Greek villages continues.

Today and tomorrow the European media will hail #EU-Turkey deal, then they'll actually read it on Thursday and realise it's unworkable.

#EU-Turkey deal. In previous deal EU promised to relocate 150,000 #refugees from Italy and Greece. Total number processed? 660

A marriage brokered in hell - #EU and #Turkey come to deal on #refugees that manages to be similtaneously unworkable, illegal and shameful

Turkey won't readmit refugees currently on Greek islands

This is from the state controlled Anadolu Agency so I assume it indicates Turkey's official position. It appears that refugees making it to Greece before an agreement is finalised wouldn't be accepted back.

A day in #Idomeni for the sick, disabled, very young or ill is an eternity's

I have never been so ashamed to call myself a European as today in #Idomeni

There's no bombing, tidal wave, zombie apocalypse etc in #Idomeni yet #refugees forced to live like animals there

Racism, ineptitude, political calculation and appeals to basest instincts of Europeans fueling disaster at #Idomeni.

Which is worse? Feeding people false hope in face of overwhelming evidence or telling truth and rob them of hope they have left?
