THE REAL ISRAEL

The real Israel has 12.5 million residents, not 8 million as Israel officially counts.
In the real Israel, about half of the population is Jewish, and half is not.
In the real Israel, the Jewish population has been holding a third of the population under Apartheid rule as a "temporary" measure for half a century, because it wants the land, but doesn't want to become "Israistan" as 'left' leader Yaakov Herzog recently said.
The real Israel has never offered or meant to offer Palestinians a state - it would only offer them 'autonomy' as sub-citizens whilst controlling them from all sides, and whilst Israeli leaders even such as Rabin would be hailed as peace doves, he too would admit outright that under the Oslo accords they would be offered "less than a state".
The real Israel would rather be rid of all Palestinians altogether, because they are "shrapnel in the ass" (as MK Bennett says), but can't manage to complete the 1948 ethnic cleansing as its court historian Benny Morris would have wanted.
The real Israel is not a democracy, but an ethnocracy, although its privileged really want "A Place Among the [enlightened] Nations" (Netanyahu's book title) and most all of them are infuriated with the suggestion, that omitting a third of the population from the count and discriminating against a fifth of the count, can be considered non-democratic.
The real Israel has not really solved its water problems as it boasts - it has simply managed to steal water from the occupied Palestinian territories, where those Palestinian residents in the West Bank are forced to manage with 17% of their water, and pay 3 times the price that the 'privileged' do: whilst the 'privileged' settlers who occupy their lands fill swimming-pools and water lawns using 3 times the water they do, the occupied Palestinians can barely water crop, and make do with far less than the globally recommended standard - whilst in some parts such as Gaza, 90% of the water is undrinkable (water plants appear to be part of the "terror infrastructure")...
The real Israel isn't really the fantastic affluent modernity in the poor sandy Middle East - a full fifth of its counted for population is under the poverty line - which makes it the country with the highest poverty rate amongst OECD countries, a level that is double the average in OECD countries - and if we count in the whole population of the REAL ISRAEL, where the not-counted occupied Palestinian population has a poverty rate of 60% and manages with less than 2 USD a day, well then it should be a wonder why Israel is at all part of the OECD.
The REAL ISRAEL is the realisation of the Zionist dream, as it came to manifest in reality. The "penniless population" was not "enticed" sufficiently to move elsewhere, as Zionist founder Herzel had hoped. Neither was the whole of Palestine "cleansed" of "Arabs" as the Jewish State founders had hoped in 1948, neither did they "just flee" as labor leader Yigal Allon had foolishly envisioned in 1967.
THE REAL ISRAEL has become a nightmare, but the dreamers refuse to be awakened from this dream. Anyone who desperately tries to shake their bodies, frozen in hypersleep of over a century, is beaten away with the frantic fit of the dreamer - those who try to awaken the sleeper are perceived as the villains in the nightmare.
One day, they will wake. And they will wonder what happened, and where did the dream go. But we cannot wait for this day to come, for the dreamer is crushing those placed under the matress.
